Happy Hallow-Recap & Quotes!

Hello, all ye few but faithful blog readers!! :) 

Thanks for joining me here again -- the break was really nice, but I'm ready and glad to be back!  I'm posting this recap one day early so I can do a 30-day thing for November... plus it's already been 91 days of no writing... but who's counting!? ;-) Hope you've had a lovely time through the past 3 months and have a Happy Halloween tonight!!

August Rush:

• Celebrated Dad's 63rd Birthday and Aunt Charlene's b-day with dinner at the Peavlers!
• A couple weeks later, we celebrated Miss Kyndal's 3rd Birthday with an awesome pool party at JoBug's!  She got a princess crown, magic wand, and new pink high heels from Aunt Lindsey - so precious!! :)
• Watched the Summer Olympics in Rio - hooray for the "Fierce Five" USA women's gymnastics team, for Phelps earning his 23rd gold medal, and for Jamaica's Usain Bolt (Brittany's cousin) breaking more records and stopping an interview to honor our national anthem - HERE. =)
• Learned about the lives and work of missionaries Alex and Mary Paulison over dinner and the world's best chocolate chip cookies (secret recipe by Chettles) and a missions presentation at the farmhouse! :)
• The Jaceman and Kyndal Faith Parrish were excited to go back to school - their first day cuteness was off the charts! (pic below)
• I tried Holy Yoga for the first time with Lindsay and Kristen (light yoga + worship music + verses to concentrate on) - it was good, but I'm always surprised at the difficulty level of yoga!
• Started meeting weekly with Jenna to go through the Unashamed videos and book study by Christine Caine - highly recommend it!
• Panera dinner then the LC Sisters event with Lindsay's group... memorable and fun sitting between Lindsay and Talhia and realizing we were all thinking the same thing. :)
• A fun Slim Chickens dinner with the Wilsons, JEM, and Tiffany (which I realized later was on the 3-year anniversary of the email)! :)
• I got Rach and Kyndal a mother/daughter photo shoot with Art & Soul Photography for K-Faith's 3rd birthday! #beautyandsass

September to Remember:

• Another missions presentation at the farmhouse - this time with Michael and Baylee Cakes previewing their upcoming trip to Haiti, and JEM joining us via Facetime! lol
• Had a fun girls night with the Tulsa Symphony concert and fireworks at Guthrie Green! :)
• Helped Mom and co. decorate Al's new house!!
• Tried out the Bowl n' Spoon Cereal Bar with Tiffany! :)
• AT&T Customer Service issues - very frustrating - but I bought The Intern DVD so that our girls night could go on as planned! :)
• Brought dinner for the Morris fam and got to hold baby Luke and catch up with Lindsay!
• Reconnected with my friend, Sarah, who got married in late August!!
• Read: Unashamed, Uninvited, Moving Mountains, and Don't Waste Your Life!
• Got to watch Miss K and the boys play with their toy gun and bubble guns from the fair! :)
• Got my first laser filling on a cavity - (no shot or numbing necessary - nice)!!
• Joined an FPU lifegroup with Jenna and Tyler -- I'm learning a lot and it's been interesting and understandable -- yay, Dave Ramsey!
• Finally got a Library card and started listening to the Harry Potter audio books... soooooo good. Brilliant does not begin to cover it!
• Went to the Tulsa Cattle Baron's Ball with Baron Chet Lee & company! :)
• Had one last JFNS (judgment free night swim) at Gary's before their move, celebrating Chet Lee's birthday 2 months late!!  

October-Fest:

• Tulsa State Fair and MercyMe concert with Jenna! (Wishful Thinking = my new favorite song by them... see Flipagram below!!)
• Celebrated Jeffrey Edward's birthday with a road trip to Sam n' Ella's!! :)
• Went to the Art on Main festival in Jenks and had my first Savoy cinnamon roll with Laura at Sip Coffee Bar!  Also found a local photographer I really like, John Kennington (HERE).
• Jenna (a spiritually strong and encouraging friend and fellow INFJ - she also cooks and bakes and has gotten me to try several new things already) moved in as my new roommate -- get excited!!  Chet, Karli, Laura, and Jenna's fam came over to help with moving day! :)
• Broke in the new fire pit roasting s'mores at the Wilson farmhouse!
• Went to Michelle's Supergirl season 2 premier party! :)
• Started working on an affirmations project (the last 10 pictures in the Flipagram).
• Got to see 6 of the 8 Harry Potter movies in the IMAX theater in one weekend - YAY!
• Brought dinner to Lindsay and Jon and got to meet and hold precious baby Phoenix!
• Attended the funeral of a beloved high school friend, Mark Richards. :( ...He carpooled with us for most of our elementary and high school years and was always the life of the party who made everyone laugh! He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer a couple years ago. Please pray for his wife, Amber, and son, Cooper! 
• Had a Jury Term at work without having to take one jury trial!
• Hung out with Laura and Amanda after they ran the Heart and Sole 5k!
• Celebrated the girlfranz' 3rd birthday ...21 in dog years!! ;-)
• Had a very memorable water bug incident at lifegroup! lol
• Got to hear several testimonies and give my own testimony in our women's group!
• Took pictures for Jeff and Kelly's rehearsal dinner at Foolish Things Coffee Co.
• JEM and Kelly's wedding at Skiatook Springs (such a beautiful setting for the outdoor ceremony + a tasty dinner and fun dancing at the reception!)
• Chet's open house party with lots of time around the fire pit laughing and talking with great friends!! :)

I will definitely expound on some of these with Memory Monday posts later.  Just wanted to get the full recap in for now! :)

Jace: "What kind of animals eat snakes?"

Me:  "Hmm, I don't really know that."

Jace:  "Can't we just ask Siri on your phone!?" lol #kidsthesedays

"Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck .....goose!!" -Miss K playing the game all by herself on their drive home from Dallas, not understanding that it usually involves other people in a circle! lol

"Oh - my - gosh!! Look at her eyeball!" -Jace & Kyndal in unison (sounding like the Baby Got Back intro, then laughing at themselves) -- Rach informed me that they've made up their own ending for that because she didn't let Triston and Carter finish it! lol  Funniest thing ever!!

"Has your dad lost any more weight lately?" -Chet

"Yeah, he's actually reached his goal now and got Lifetime Membership with Weight Watchers! ...maybe I'll join him someday." -Me

"Not with those limiting beliefs!" -BOLD Chet 

"Hey, Little Al, this looks pretty cool!!" ~Jaceman, touring Al's new house

"Hmm, I might need to stop calling you 'Little Al' now." ~Mom :)

"I've got to go get my Mel B on!" -Chet, when the Spice Girls Wannabe song came on at the wedding reception

"Aren't you a fan of Gilmore Girls, too!?" ~Me, excited about the new episodes and turning to Michael (Teresa and I had been talking about our love for that show)

"Shhhh!!" ~Michael, who had just been in a convo with John Holland telling him he didn't have much time to watch football - lol

The timing on all of that was pretty perfect and hilarious! :)
