Friendsgiving #9, Etc.

Happy Thanksgiving week!  It's been such a crazy year.  The COVID numbers are on the rise again, so most everyone I know is having a much smaller gathering for Thanksgiving this year.  It's a mess, but I'm thankful I'll be able to hang out with the immediate fam + Jace and Kyndal Faith for this holiday.  Should be fun!

Anyway, below are some pictures from the past two weeks... starting with Friendsgiving, which was an outdoor lunch at the Wilsons on November 8th!  My contributions were Oreo balls and Pioneer Woman mac n' cheese... yum!!

The guys decided to try out Tate's swing. lol

Kelly and Ellie Faye!

Chet Lee preparing the smoked ham!

The Young fam sat across from me and Sarah Elizabeth... always entertaining!

We had Tate, Ellie, Sophia, and Harvey in our small group.  I sat by Karli, and when we went around saying what we were thankful for, she announced that she's pregnant with their second child!  So that makes 5 married couples, 1 newly engaged couple (Shane and Faith the week after Friendsgiving), four children under age 3, and two new babies on the way!
...And me!! lolol  I love it all, though!

The Myers and baby Sophia!

Super thankful for Sarah and her friendship this year!!

Socially distant small group pic for 2020. lol

Chet's turn on the swing!

Steve had to work that afternoon and arrived late... we came inside as the crowd dwindled down, so when it was only me and the Fultons left there, Sarah told the Wilsons that they are also expecting!  Exciting times!!  Sarah and Karli had on matchy green shirts, but I failed to get a pic of that.
...Here's Tate teaching Sgt. Steve about all the different trucks in the world! ❤

Playing hide-and-seek with Tate is so much cuteness! lol

The lovely Wilson home with their Give Thanks sign on the door!

The Fultons had their first ultrasound the next day and FaceTime called me to show me the picture! I love having friends who include me in stuff like that!!

Rach finished the sign for Carter's room... so great!!

The Wilson fam at Chet's event collecting food/clothing for Night Light Tulsa... I came for the company and kettle corn! lol  It was a nice day outside and a good talk with them.

My new wireless headphones to go along with my new work computer (the one I've had at home for 2+ years)... I finally upgraded Total Eclipse for the low prices of $2500, so now I also have to upgrade my Transcription software for $120 and buy a new wireless keyboard and headphones... yay!?  Whatever, I'm happy to finally be up to date on stuff - just frustrated at how quickly it adds up.

I'd forgotten that this group was meeting on Monday, but Amber's post alerted me and enticed me to come. lol

So glad I did... they're doing a Matt Chandler Bible study on Psalm 23, so that was great... then we played a game called Skyjo afterward and I got caught up on everyone's lives.  The Niles are also pregnant with baby #2.  Kristin was sick, but Jon was there and it was fun to hear how they've been.  Mike and Amy are doing well, and there's a new couple that I got to meet, as well.  We discussed the effects of 2020, but everyone in that small group has stayed healthy and employed thus far, so that made me happy... along with the tasty cookies and general lightheartedness of the night!  I had a weird moment on the drive where I nearly talked myself out of going because I was running a little late and because I didn't want to throw off the numbers for the games if it was me and all couples (Kristin being sick made us an even 8, but it would've worked with that game either way.)  Anyway, I think the general suckiness of this year was making me feel like I should just stay home and be alone, but I'm happy I went and got to chat with people and have fun!  It was good for the soul. =)

The Jaceman is doing a class report on Pinzon, the captain of the Pinta ship who eventually betrayed Columbus.  Here he is practicing for me. lol

I tried on the captain's hat, as well! lol

Just a random meme that made me laugh... oh, the pettiness of Christian fights on FB:

I'm happy about my CR machine being in the festive holiday spirit. lol

This past weekend, I helped Mom with scrapbooking (brought back lots of memories from my own CHA days) on Carter's Home Study project!

The Mini Miss K looking ever so cute and being excited about her new tall boots!!

Mom and I hung these curtains in her room when they went to church!  Took longer than one would hope, but they turned out really cute!

Then we came back home and fixed up the queso and taco meat for taco salad - yum!  We had that as we watched the bedlam game, which was not a happy night for OSU.

Yesterday (Sunday), the kids came over after a family lunch at Cheddar's, and K drew this slightly-creepy pic of me with sidewalk chalk. lol  She's such a preshface - she drew everyone in the fam and wrote all our names!  I think it's impressive that she's doing box letters already.

I drove back to Tulsa, then as I was watching The Crown last night, she FaceTimed me to show me her hair in sponge rollers!  I talked to Rach this morning, and K-Faith was not a fan of the tight curls this created... but still, how cute is she in the rollers! lol  I remember sleeping in our pink sponge rollers so many times as a kid! =)

Some encouragement and truth for today!

That's all for now!  Happy Thanksgiving!!

"Aunt Lindsey" adds one more!

A fun Schitt's Creek gif to start things off...

Okay, from here forward, I highly suggest that you scroll to the very bottom and then scroll up in reverse so that the pics will be in chronological order.  I'm so over the new Blogger on this.  So irritating. Okay, scroll down... go!

In closing, they announced this morning that Joe Biden will be our 46th President.  It took them an exhausting 3 days to count all the votes, but I'm relieved and thankful it is over now, although it won't really be over until the 2021 inauguration.  I would love for our country to move forward and unite and find healing, but both parties have moved so far from the center and so far from the God who alone has the power to repair and strengthen us.  But we can seek God and repent of our own sins and pray for heart-level change across America, which is exactly what God calls us to do (2 Chronicles 7:14)!

That's all I've got for today, so it must be time for another lovely fall walk at Crescent Park, followed by my crockpot BBQ chicken for dinner!! =)

Sarah teared up reading the card and Steve cried later when she showed him the gift (the first baby outfit they've gotten).  I love that they're so excited!!

A cute little stuffed bunny... which I fully and completely thought of as a lamb until Sarah opened it and said, "Aww, a little bunny!"  What on earth, Lindsey? lol  I don't even know what that was about.

A little gift for baby Fulton... we obviously don't know the gender yet, so I went with gender neutral stuff.  Super excited with and for them! =)

Speaking of COVID, Laura and I got a masked-up pic for our 12-year Friendiversary celebration on November 4th!

I'm sad to say that Chet's Uncle Richard passed away overnight on November 3rd.  He had been in the hospital with COVID for over a month.  Very sad.  Praying for their family and finding comfort in God's promises.

Mom had moved to get better pics at this point.  The singing and hand motions brought back memories, though. lol

I watched a bit of CHA's Patriotic Program live on YouTube.  Made me laugh that I could see Mom and Rach right up front. lol

YAAAAY!! ❤  Such happy news... and I was surprised and honored that I was the first person they told!

Me:  I totally had a feeling you guys might be sharing this news today.

Sarah:  Why?  Because I didn't order a mimosa?

Lolol

(For the record, that wasn't why at all - I knew they'd gotten together with family the night before and knew they were trying for a baby - but it was still a funny thought!)

They gave me a card and as soon as I opened it and read the front, I got super excited because I already knew!! lol

Me and Steve cheers-ing to celebrate their big news above...

I randomly got chicken pot pie instead of breakfast food - it sounded better that day.

A tasty and memorable brunch at Red Rock with Steve and Sarah on Sunday November 1st (the one-year anniversary of them buying their house)!

They had a Pistol Pete filter and an OSU helmet filter for Instagram fun. =)

A decent selfie by Charlene after the sun had gone down a bit. lol

Me moving to the other side, and Dad and Jace standing up behind us for a lovely group pic! =)

Me cracking up at Charlene attempting to take a selfie and being very confused. lol  Notice I changed from the hoodie to a t-shirt... it was much warmer outside than I'd expected!

Jace thought this guy's mask was funny (the game was on Halloween), so he asked to take a pic with him! lol

Pistols firing!  Our valiant attempts to get on the jumbotron were thwarted once again.

Charlene was on the other side of me, which is why she's not in this one.

Celebrating an OSU touchdown... they were ahead 95% of the game, then Texas made a big comeback at the end.  Jace had to use the restroom and Dad was in stubborn mode, so we all left with about 3 minutes left in the game, then we could hear the crowd cheering as they ended up tying the game and going into overtime... OSU ended up losing, though.  We listened on the car radio for a bit, then Jace showed me all the different aliens on his computer game.

The sun was riiiiight in our faces! lol

A fun Jaceman pic for Mom. lol

Me and Charlene... she's always fun to me, and we had a nice chat about lots of things during halftime at the game!

Jace ended up being a big fan of Granny's Kitchen and their chicken fried chicken cut up into "nuggets." lol

Me repping OSU, and the mini Miss K in her OU shirt! lol

The Jaceman teaching me the details about each of his Transformer toys before the OSU game... they're honestly cool toys, and he's so into it, and it's pretty cute!  "If you could be any of them, which one would you pick!?  Which one of them is your favorite color?"  (For the record, I picked Blades, the transformer helicopter, because she can fly.) lol

A great quote that applies to relational drama and many other things.

My work station at the Bristow courthouse - an hour of driving and a full morning sitting in court to take a record for 2 minutes and 19 seconds. lol  Oh well!

Twins! lol  I was so happy about this double-yolk egg... then I irrationally felt bad about eating it. lol

Hey!  Good to see you here - we'll start with the pictures above, scrolling up in reverse order.  This = the Hamilton-themed yoga class with Ross (not a favorite coach of mine).  There were so many ridiculous, way-too-advanced poses, so it was basically 45 minutes of Lindsey laughing at the screen while doing her own random yoga poses. =)  Super-fun music, though!!
