This doesn't go with the rest of this post, but yesterday was National Sibling Day, so I made this lovely collage of me and Rach! lol ❤
Carter Lee had to give his fist big presentation this past Monday. (Every boy is assigned a US President and every girl a US First Lady, and they research and write a paper, then do a first person presentation to their classmates dressed in costume. I found the first person idea a bit funny and awkward since they have to say, "I died on ____.") He was assigned President Ulysses S. Grant. Mom and I spent part of Easter Sunday researching and writing helping him a bit with his report. lol They only needed five paragraphs and had several specific points they had to cover. I was genuinely fascinated learning some of the details about his life and struggled to narrow down the information and cut out details that I really loved. It all made me want to research and learn a bit about every President, but I'm unlikely to follow through on that.
Mom made notecards and then spent lots of time working with Carter on memorizing some of it and presenting it well. Here he is practicing in costume! I love it!! ❤
Rach and Josh went to watch him on Monday morning, and he did really great! (Rach took a video.) They got bonus points for props, so Mom made an enlarged copy of the $50 bill for him to pass out! lol Anyway, I'm super proud of him for working hard and giving a good presentation! He's had a tough year at school, and his ADHD makes it more challenging for him to stay focused, but Mom and Brooke and Rachael have been working with him more, and his grades are starting to improve lately. =) He's got a lot of people cheering him on!
Finally, here is a happy Flipagram from our family's Easter weekend! ❤
