Tinfinity, Part 2

Today marks a decade of friendship with Chet Lee and Sarah Elizabeth, a "Tinfinity" double friendiversary!! ❤

Fun fact:  They are both ENFPs on the Myers Briggs scale, which instinctively made sense to me, and Sarah finally agreed with that after a very extensive search for her personality type. lol   It is the most natural personality match for my INFJ self! ...This kind of thing always fascinates me. =)

  • "They can spend enormous amounts of time with each other without the introverted INFJ getting worn out from socializing or the extroverted ENFP becoming distracted by other people."
  • "Both INFJs and ENFPs often feel misunderstood... As a relationship develops between two people of these types, there’s a good chance they’ll both feel they’ve finally found someone who might actually understand them."
  • "INFJs can be are random, spontaneous, off-color, and quick-witted. But mostly in their heads. ENFPs are all those things in the outside world, and being around them helps the INFJs start sharing their inside world with the outside world (which then gives the ENFP a partner who’s similar, but not too similar, in how they approach life)."
  • "Once an ENFP decides they’re interested in you, they’re not readily scared off by deeper revelations about an INFJ’s inner world. In fact, they’re one of the types most likely to be persistent enough that they’ll actually get to know an INFJ."
  • "Since INFJs and ENFPs both use intuition but in different ways, they often end up refining and developing each others’ ideas."
With Chet Lee, every word I wrote HERE last year still stands -- 'twas a solid top 10 list and "practice run!" lol  He is genuine, dependable, determined, fun, and very quotable! lol  I am super thankful to call him a friend, and I love that our friendship has stood the test of time!!  It's been fun getting to know baby Tate over the course of this year and seeing Chet and Karli step into their new roles as parents. =)

With Sarah Elizabeth, I am incredibly grateful to have someone I can be so open with!  Sarah's a great listener and a very supportive friend... three times this past year, I've been surprised as I found myself sharing things with her that I had never mentioned to others, decisions I was wrestling with and memories I'd never discussed.  She's just real and easy to talk to, and I think that feeling is mutual between us.  In a recent conversation over pizza, we got into some really intense topics, then she seemed caught off guard and apologized for things getting so deep, and I assured her that's never a problem with me! lol  (That's where I prefer it - it's the shallow end conversations I tend to find painfully exhausting.)

Anyway, I will also say it's a gift to have a friendship that survives conflict and grows stronger, especially when I have had so many that were destroyed by small disagreements and petty misunderstandings.  It means a lot to me when people refuse to give up and walk away, when they value my friendship enough to press through a difficult season. I'm thankful that Sarah is on the very short list of people who have found me worth the effort!

Yes, I made a combined slideshow yesterday + a Chet slideshow and a Sarah slideshow I made when I made Laura's. lol  I ❤ pictures and memories!  (And I really NEED someone with a clue to make an app like Flipagram - so far, nothing I've found compares to it.)

Anyway, hoorah and huzzah for true and solid friendships!  They've actually known each other since childhood, but I'm thankful that I got to spend the last decade getting to know them and their families!  I'm also thankful that you're never done getting to know someone - there is always more to learn and discover as you grow together, and that's part of what keeps life and relationships fun and interesting!!

Happy Tinfinity to Chettles and Sarah Elizabeth, and here's to many more years of friendship ahead! ❤  ...Cheers!! ;-)
