"Above all, clothe yourselves with LOVE, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts, for as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful!" ~Colossians 3:14-15
Today, I am thankful for:
1. Super-fun travel memories from TEN YEARS ago this week... and the hope of going to Vegas again someday... and an entertaining group text with JEM and Chet! =)
2. The theme rides on Peloton... this week alone, I've done Robin's Dolly Parton ride, LeAnn's Celine Dion ride, and Ally's Whitney Houston ride (live along with 9,000+ others!). FUN!! You wouldn't necessarily think of that as workout music, but divas belting out power ballads with all the passion really inspires you to pedal harder and faster! "AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!" Lol yaaaas!
3. The quotes and verses and songs that God has used to comfort me in hard times... and the ability to share that comfort, hope, and encouragement with others who are suffering. (My friend, Lindsay's mom was diagnosed with leukemia last week, and there's an extra layer of emotional difficulty for their family because of the pandemic and visitors not being allowed. Praying for peace and healing!)
4. "Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow. You're only a day awaaaay!" ;-) Just you wait. Hamilton. Tomorrow. Disney+. Be there!!
...In all seriousness, I am thankful for the way well-written music (and musicals) connects us and opens our hearts and inspires us to keep growing personally!
5. The entertaining fun community of the #BooCrew, which apparently shares a July 1st "birthday" with Malori! lol
6. Chuck... I watched the last four episodes of Season 2 again recently, which will forever rank among the top of my favorite TV episodes from any show EVER. So good!
7. This has been a very musically-themed post, so I'll continue that with saying I'm thankful for Celine Dion's singing talent (to quote Chettles, she's an "exquisitely unique" person, and she's found an equally strange guitar player who's cracking me up here, but her talent is undeniable), and for this awesome song, which I'd forgotten about until I did the Celine ride yesterday, then I was just belting it out with all the feelings! lol "Are you thinkin' about you or us? Don't say what you're about to say. Look back before you leave my life. Be sure before you close that door. Before you roll those dice, baby, think twice!" So good - the 2-minute mark and the 3-minute mark are both winners here! ❤
Happy Thursday, gang! Have a lovely 4th of July weekend ahead!!
