Memory Tuesday (Weekend)

Today's memory is of Nancy's birthday weekend!!

Okay, so Friday night was Nancy's 60th birthday, and my Uncle Gene went all out for it!  He planned all of this as a surprise for her, and it went really well!  They've been married almost 36 years, and it's obvious that they have fun and enjoy each other and are happy together... I love that!  Anyway, he got a limo (how cute is that!?) to pick her up.  My cousin, Amber, came in from Arizona and was waiting in the limo, so that was surprise #2, and got Nancy crying already.  Then they came to Charlestons, where he'd rented out and decorated the back room for her surprise party with her family and closest friends!  Dinner was great, and it was a fun night all around!

Saturday was the OU/TX game, and everyone came to my parents' house for that!  (We did gifts and cards for Nancy there, so this was all part of the birthday weekend.)  Rach and Josh went back to their place around half-time, so I came over to hang out with them and their LG friends for a bit!

After all that, I drove back to Tulsa for Jeff's b-day party Saturday night -- (Red Rock, cookiecake at Starbucks, bowling, and hanging out at his house) -- I'm sure it'll be a Memory Monday soon! Sunday was BattleCreek, lunch at LaFortune, a wine tasting at Natalie's, volunteering at CTCA, and a Worship Night at Nathan's.  Busy weekend... I was so happy to have Monday off!!  Hooray for Columbus! ;) 

And on my day off, since I'm in recap mode right now, Mom came down to bring my laptop for the CRR test, we had lunch at Olive Garden, went to some furniture stores and I bought a new couch and recliner (yay!), then I had dinner with Jennie at Gina & Guiseppes, then went to Natalie's for a girls' night b-day celebration, including cake!  All in all, a fantastic eventful weekend (and a good reason to eat super healthy the rest of this week)!!

*Also, random but interesting sidenote... while celebrating Natalie's birthday yesterday, I realized that I am only 27!!  I've had it in my mind that I was 28 for a while... I don't know why. ??  I've been given the gift of another year. lol  It made me really happy! =)  I'm probably going to make a 30 before 30 list here pretty soon!
