Thankful Thursday! (48)

"O LORD, I give my life to You.  I trust in You, my God! ...Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me...  May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in You." ~Psalm 25:1-21

"For the word of the LORD holds true, and we can trust everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the LORD fills the earth." ~Psalm 33:4,5

"Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory - for all its strength, it cannot save you. But the LORD watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine.  We put our hope in the LORD.  He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Let Your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in You alone." ~Psalm 33:17-22

Today, I'm thankful for God's Word, particularly these verses.  It always encourages me and engages my heart to read Psalms!

I am also thankful that I got to come home and spend time with my family last night. 
Thankful for Mom and her birthday!

I'm thankful that my Joyce devotional was on the power of words and the polluting effect that complaining has in our lives.  (It came at a time when I needed to hear that.) 

I'm thankful for our family friends from my Dad's fantasy football league... always fun hanging out with them!

I'm thankful for my precious nephews who keep everyone entertained!!  Quotables coming soon. :)  (This is a picture we framed to go in Jace's nursery room... I love it!)

I'm thankful that God protected Rachael and baby Jace through all that happened this week.

I'm thankful for Joe's Pizza and cookiecake!

And I'm thankful for the ability to run and exercise and burn off those calories! ;)

I am thankful for encouraging friendships!

I am thankful that I'm becoming more aware of Satan's schemes in my life - meaning where he targets me and where I need God's strength.  (Tip: Wherever you find your validation, that's what he's targeting.  I often find mine through friendships... others might find it in work, in popularity, in image, etc.  It's only when we truly get our validation from Christ that he cannot successfully attack us!  I believe I'm getting closer and pressing toward that!)

I am thankful for rest.

I am thankful for work.

I am thankful for PURPOSE!!

I am thankful that God is close and that I can feel the light and life of Jesus in and around me.

And I am thankful for JOY!  =)
