Mom and I spent most of the weekend at the courthouse catching up on plea transcripts. Super productive, but also exhausting. Today, I got to file several transcripts and I felt really productive. Also, my judge is finally back from a long (medical leave) absence, and that is a major blessing/relief to me! In other fantastic news, the crickets are finally dying off. It has been truly ridiculous this year. Last week, I pulled an impressive crawl across the passenger seat move to drive home after class because a cricket was positioned right where I had to stand to open the driver door. (I made sure no one saw me, but apparently, I don't mind announcing it now.) Jessica in my class pretty accurately described them as "like a swarm of massive black roaches that can jump at you," so I think my freak-out level is appropriate.
......All that to say, September was taxing, but October is off to a great start so far!
This falls right into my theory that the even # months and years in my life are generally better than the odds. (I'm guessing no one but me really cares, but I've really thought that all the way through, and from high school years forward, there are very few exceptions. And my favorite 3 months are February, October, and December.) =)
Anyway, I believe I'll celebrate the end of Stats with an awesome bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream! My next course is Intro to Counseling - awesome! Fall is here and Christmas is coming soon - get excited!!
Is there a happier song? Love this! (Sound of Sunshine, Michael Franti & Spearhead)
