You know what seems to be a lost art these days? Listening.
I say this partly because freaking Schlotzsky's gets my order wrong 95% of the time, which is incredible. What could possibly be so confusing about "turkey and cheese only?" As hard as I try to scrape the mayonnaise off, it's still there, making me think of that scene in Undercover Brother. lol Ugh. ...I also say it because I hope and believe that I cannot possibly be as boring as people make me feel sometimes. Very limited attention span. (Hence, I have an easier time feeling heard by writing here, but I still need to branch out and be friendly!)
And end rant. :)
Tonight at dinner, one nephew asked if I was ever gonna have any babies and the other asked how I got so many "owies" on my face, so that was pretty awesome. lol (I don't know if it's the emotions/stress/hormones or the new moisturizer I tried or what, but I'm breaking out in a way I've not experienced since junior high, so that's been super-fun!) I really do adore the honesty of kids, right up until they focus their attention on me. ;-)
Triston also said, "Hey, my music teacher's name is kinda like your name -- because your name is Lindsey but her name is Miss Lindsey." lol That one genuinely cracked me up. =)
In related news, here's a fun pic of my sister, Rach, and my nephew, Bubby Jace, whose 1st birthday party is tomorrow! =) ...get excited!!
