Quotable Tuesday =)

I was really hoping for a snow day and being off work today, but no such luck.  It is sleeting and snowing, yes, but the courthouse is open and plea transcripts are continuing to add up.  Anyway, since I am not in much of a working mood, I decided to post a quick blog before I'm called into court again. =)

The "Top 10" quotes I've heard or read lately:

This was a friend's FB status this week, and I loved it.
"Love is seeing the darkness in another person and defying the impulse to jump ship."  Not because you love the darkness about them but because there is light there too and you want to help them overcome what is hurting them...

Mmm-hmmm.

Amen to this:

One of my favorite quotes, even though I haven't lived it out well:

"He sacrificed Himself so that you can reign in life (see Romans 5:17). After giving up His perfect life on your behalf, isn’t Jesus worthy to see His vision for you fulfilled?  ...Maybe giving up really does seem better for your own sake. But you should keep going for His."  ~John Bevere

Encouragement:
"Everything belongs to you,
and you belong to Christ,
and Christ belongs to God."
~1 Corinthians 3:22-23

Great lyrics:

Laura was looking at Divergent and began the question:  "So if you were to have to choose a faction..." and I interrupted and said "Amity!" lol  It is the peaceful, giggly, daydreaming faction that's full of pretty trees and nature, where everyone votes on everything and coming to agreement is more important than proving a point.  They give everyone anti-anxiety/ antidepressant bread to keep them happy and peaceful all the time. lol  Not the best way to keep peace, but I don't hate it.  And the "Examples" on this picture cracked me up.  Yay for becoming besties with T-Swift! ;)

My LIGHT quote for the day - a reminder to go to God first rather than Christian people when I am feeling dark!

Encouragement (from Allegiant):
God also mends us, obviously, but often uses others to help in the process.
