Better in God's Hands

Happy New Year's Eve!  I'm actually kinda tired, so I'm gonna take a mini-nap before meeting my friends for a fun dinner and party at Chet & Karli's!  But I wanted to round off the posts to be an even 70 for 2014, so here's one last nod to the past, then a pic of the cookiecake for tonight... cuteness!

"For a moment, all the world was right. How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye? And now, I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better in God's hands. I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance!" ~The Dance, Garth Brooks

(I change "left to chance" to "in God's hands," as that's much more true for me.) But I love the heart of this song and the idea that the beautiful parts of a relationship don't disappear just because the ending was painful. #eternalsunshine

It makes me nostalgic and thankful. When I look back, I want to do so with discretion and gratitude, knowing that there was beauty and purpose in every season. But I want to spend far more time looking forward than back this coming year!! So cheers to that! ;)

"May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance!" ~Jude 1:2

Have a wonderful, hope-filled, happy New Year!
