Happy Birthday to Karli Marie - hopefully they're having an awesome time with family in Florida!!
Today's Memory Monday post goes to the Wilson home (1812 Willow - so easy for me to remember thanks to the War of 1812 and Willow being my street name)... yesterday was their last day in that house, so a mini-tribute to the fun times we've had there seems appropriate!!
In September 2012, Chet had me come to the closing to take pictures as he signed for his first house! ...Then we had a very memorable painting party to fix it up and get rid of the lime green in the kitchen! :)
Karli's White Christmas girls night, randomly watching Miss America, hanging out for a "Whole 30" dinner, Lucy-fur and Chettles, the gang celebrating Chet's new job, and Sarah at the first Friendsgiving dinner (2012)!!
JEM being the "lawn and garden boy" - lol, pizza and donuts when they got back from Disney World, Memorial Day remodel (where Jeff's blood, sweat, and tears were poured into making the house great - lol) + Karli's b-day celebration, and finally, Friendsgiving (2013 and 2015)!
And here's the house on Saturday morning... I came by to take a few pictures before my OKC trip.
Boxed up and ready to go.
There was an ant situation in the storage pod, so Chet sprayed them down. :)
Chet and Karli hanging out on the front porch - October 2012.
(Since that time, they got engaged, got married, he left his job to become a realtor with Bland to Grand, Karli went from full-time teaching to part-time and is helping Chet at the office, and he has now started Wilson & Company... makes me happy!)
Same shot - May 2016!
Kelly serenading us with a flute solo as they packed a few remaining things to go in the storage pod. I like that Kelly, Karli, and I all played the flute... I'm confident that both of them retained the skill more than I did! lol
JEM cracking up when he heard the flute and came over to see what was happening!
Chet Lee and Jeffrey fake crying about leaving the house. lol
...Change is always a little sad, and even though it wasn't my house, I'll kind of miss it. But in this case, they're saying goodbye to something good so they can move toward something better, so I'm excited for them in that!!
