Tuesdays = "Ladies Night" at the 2A Shooting Center, so we made a plan over a month ago to go on May 9th, the first Tuesday night in a while that Sarah was off work!

I was crazy nervous in the beginning. In my 33 years of life, I've only shot a gun on 3 days total, including this one. (My 29th birthday, I went to the shooting range with Josh and Rach, and Josh set everything up for me where all I had to do was pick it up and pull the trigger. Then we took a conceal carry class and practiced at an outdoor range using .22 guns with silencers because Rach was pregnant at the time. So in spite of having a valid conceal carry permit, it had been around 4 years since I had shot a gun.) Steve was a great teacher, though... he really took the time to show me how everything works, to load and unload the gun and use the safety, how to hold it properly, etc. ("finger off the trigger" being the number one rule that he had to tell me multiple times - eek! lol).

Here's Sarah "steadying me" with her hands on my shoulders. lol I was terrified to put my face on it, but that was necessary to aim it well, and Steve assured me the kick wouldn't be bad. He was right, of course, but that didn't stop me from freaking out a bit before I tried it! lol

Anyway, I'd like to practice more often! I felt much more comfortable by the end of the night, so I just need to stick with it and get better and stronger and ready for that purchase!! The weird part is I could absolutely without any moral issue shoot someone who broke into my home. My fear is purely about any accidental injuries (or worse). But if I get comfortable with it and secure it properly, I think it'd be good to own one! We'll see...
Song of the Week = Southern Nights from Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (saw it with Tiffany on Friday, then with Dad and Charlene on Saturday, then downloaded the "Awesome Mix Vol. 2" soundtrack Sunday!) So much fun music, and Baby Groot is pure precious awesomeness!! 😍🎶
