Photo Friday!!

Well, now that Blogger is finally working and able to upload photos again.... here's a last minute Photo Friday post! =)  Me hanging out with The Rock and Kevin Hart, aka Dr. Smolder Bravestone and Mouse Finbar from Jumanji! lol

 A couple more pics from that night (this Thursday). Chet Lee was sick with flu-like symptoms, so he wore a mask to be careful around us and especially Karli and the baby!!  The movie wasn't as great as the first two, but it was a fun movie night, as they almost always tend to be! :)

In other movie-related news, I wanted to cheer when I read this article!  A 136% climb from their opening weekend, strong word of mouth, and extra theaters adding The Greatest Showman!!  The soundtrack is also doing quite well, as it should be!  It just makes my heart happy when the cynical critics are proven wrong and the underdog musical movie rises to the top in spite of them! lol  Yeeeeess!! 

A friend whose Dad died recently posted this and said her Dad had them memorize this poem as children. I liked the poem, and I like that idea! Several of the songs, poems, verses, and other random things I memorized as a child have stuck with me. This is simple and cheesy, but an encouraging thing to have ringing in your mind when you begin to doubt yourself!

I found this plan for my reading this year, and I really love the variety of it. Every Saturday, you read part of the Gospels. Every Sunday, you hear from Paul. Wednesdays are spent in the Psalms, and today it was Isaiah! Old Testament through the week, New Testament on the weekends. It's consistent week to week, but variety day to day. Anyway, I'm excited about it! =)

This verse stood out to me today:  "Destruction is certain for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter." Isaiah 5:20

I love when the words of God are so clear and powerful. The Bible also says, "God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all." It's so important that we seek Him, draw near to Him, and refuse to be corrupted by those who've got it backwards!
