Today, I am thankful for:
1. All the funny memes coming out lately, especially those including "baby Yoda." lol
2. A Facetime call with the Mini Miss K, who just got her first pair (2 pair) of glasses this morning and wanted to show me! (She also recently lost two of her front teeth, and I'm still getting used to that.)
3. Today = the official first day of Spring, and it really FEELS like Spring outside, which is delighting my soul after a few dreary, rainy days. I went for a neighborhood walk and tried out my cute new pink tennis shoes (bought them for the D.C. trip, which they still haven't officially cancelled, but I'm 99% sure they will). Anyway, yay for the sunshine and birds and flowers and trees blooming and pretty much everything Spring-related except bugs and tornadoes!!
4. I'm thankful that my personality is pretty well suited to this level of quarantine/staycation. lol I bought this Trolls coloring book for Kyndal when I got paint supplies at Michael's last weekend, but since I'm not going home for a bit, I decided to color while listening to podcasts. Made me happy!
5. God's power to heal and restore us and to bring renewed peace and joy! ❤
6. My happy new apron... yaaay, I've always wanted an apron, and I finally bought one. It makes me feel especially cute while cooking or baking anything! lolol
7. The strength, wisdom, joy, and peace God offers us in the midst of these unprecedented and uncertain days!
8. Tortilla wraps... I've become a fan again this week, since Reasor's was completely out of all sliced bread. lol Fascinating times.
9. Having my "last" dine-in restaurant meal at Ted's with Sarah Elizabeth before they all temporarily shut down for a while!
10. I'm feeling super-thankful for Peloton this week - the bike, the app, the coaches, and the FB community!! I haven't missed a day of working out since I read that Joy of Movement book, and I know it's boosting my mood, confidence, and energy level. =) *Pic = my fav two coaches, Cody and Robin!
11. The timing and sequence of events (short-lived staph infection --> A-fib discovery --> heart cath to check for anything else that might be wrong) that led to the doctors catching Dad's arterial blockage before it caused a heart attack... he has surgery scheduled for April 2nd to clear out the blockage and place a stent, so prayers are appreciated for everything surrounding that!
12. The fun of creativity and getting to learn and practice a new style of painting last weekend! (I hung this one up at work on Monday, and the added brightness already makes me happy. Something to commemorate this unusual season.)
Happy Thursday, friends and fam! I hope and pray that you stay well, feel loved, and hold on to peace and hope through this pandemic. ❤
Okay, now I'm off to watch Parenthood and bake something in my new apron. lol
