Thankful Thursday (113)

"The Lord lives!  Blessed be my Rock, and let the God of my salvation be exalted!"  ~Psalm 18:46

Today, I am thankful for:

1.  Peloton rides, the BooCrew group, my XOXO Cody shirt, the BooCrew headband, and taking Robin's 45-minute Queen ride with Malori Riah during my lunch break yesterday - yay!!  Good music makes it much more fun! =)

2.  Finally having a decent gym within five minutes of my workplace!  Lunchtime workouts for the win!!  I cancelled my PF membership, but I was happy to see that Anytime Fitness is very similar in their "visually loud" colors and happy, inclusive philosophy! =)

3.  My Mom, who has come to visit a few times this past month and been incredibly helpful in cleaning, reorganizing, design ideas, and motivating the contractors to do their job! lol

4.  Rachael, who painted this lovely new side table for me! ❤

5.  Finally having a "Smart TV" and being able to stream things from my phone.  (Also thankful for this Oh Happy Day scene in Sister Act 2!)  *The fireplace area is currently unfinished, but should be done next week!

6.  My "bedazzled" new fan... the blades we bought were badly scratched and damaged when they arrived, so Mom spray painted the back side silver and then I added ModPodge with silver glitter mixed in.  Love it!!  #blessingindisguise

7.  The truth that we are all so much more resilient than we tend to believe during our most difficult seasons.  Sometimes life sucks, but God never leaves, and we can do hard things!  There is ALWAYS more life, hope, and light on the other side of crushing losses that feel very much like death, shame, and darkness. Tomorrow = 13 years since the letter that devastated me to my very core in 2007.  A life-changing moment, but not the life-destroying moment I first believed it to be.  Thank God for personal growth, change, forgiveness, healing, and new joys, hopes, and dreams!  Friendly word of advice:  Don't make another human being your god, friends - even the very best of us will fail in that role!!  *This pic still makes me laugh every time I see it.  We were on competing bowling teams in Boston (the one week in all of history that the feelings were mutual) and we took this competitive glare pic just for fun, but it became symbolically perfect after the letter. lol

That's all for tonight.  Have a fabulous weekend ahead!
