I had this car just under two years... I know this purely thanks to Facebook pictures, the first one being taken in July 2010.
Side note: I got really cracked up seeing this comment from Milo, a friend from BattleCreek:
That's What's Up!!! ;oD A CLEAN hard-top Lex, I see your doing BIG THINGS, Miss Vuitton!!! :-))
(Lol he called me that because of my LV purse.)
Some memories:
Lots of good times in this car... even though I very rarely drove it with the top down, apparently, I only took pictures on those days. lol The last 2 pics are from Nathan's 4th of July Bash Bash Bash last year - driving around Owasso listening to One Republic's The Good Life! :)
I like to think that I don't get very attached to my possessions, only to God and people and pictures and memories. But when I got to the body shop today to collect my stuff from the officially totaled car, I felt a little like crying when I saw it all beat up and torn apart. They put part of the metal torn from the side of the car across the seats and on top of my pink coat and all my plea paperwork... umm, awesome - thanks. And the battery is dead so none of the buttons work, and there were a few CDs (including the ones in the CD changer) that I couldn't get out. :( It all made me think about how instantly things can change, and about Mom and Dad's car wreck and how awful that must've been! That probably got me the most.
Obviously, in the big scheme of things, my treasure is in heaven. I'm thankful for all the fun times and very thankful I was not seriously injured or worse in the wreck. And I'm happy to be getting a new car soon! But it is possible to be thankful and sad at the same time, hence the cheesy title of this post.
So R.I.P., Lexi. I shall miss you. :(
