Here are five of my favorite Olympic moments... it's funny how vividly I remember watching these. (And Oksana Baiul and Nancy Kerrigan and Shawn Johnson and so many others that I loved.) And I'm pretty excited about this year's gymnastics team, even though I won't be joining them in London after all! :(
Shannon Miller - 1996 - queen of the "Magnificent Seven" - I wanted to BE her, and I've always been super impressed by those who ace the balance beam! :)
Also 1996, but I remember this like it was yesterday... LOVE IT. And then watching Bella carry her out to protect her injured ankle - so great! Go, Kerri, Go!
Dominique Moceanu was definitely my favorite that year - so spunky and fun! I <3 gymnastics!!
Olympic Scandal!! How fantastic is this pairs performance by Jamie Sale and David Pelletier? (Originally awarded a silver medal by moronic judges, but they eventually got the gold they deserved.)
And finally, Miss Tara Lipinski... so little and cute and full of life - I just love her!! And I adore how excited she is at the end of the skate. =)
