Today, I went to Rach's house with Mom to keep Jace as she was working at State Farm. (Carter is hanging out with his other aunt today.) Jace-man loves to be outside, so he was my 5k training partner today! =) Ummm, jogging while pushing a stroller up a hill = hard! lol Rach's neighborhood is full of hills that I haven't had to deal with at Riverside. But it was fun and he was grinning and happy and super-observant the whole time. =)
He loves to have his shoes put on... so here is in his shorts, shoes, and socks - stylin'! lol :)
He's at such a fun little toddling age! He's walking around and loves to "help" by bringing you whatever random thing he's found. He loves to play with anything that has a lid, just tapping the lid and the bottle together. He cringes and turns away from any food that's unfamiliar, but he's quite a fan of sweet potatoes, squash, ice cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Fudge Stripe cookies. He's testing his limits trying to slowly sneak in and touch things he knows he's not supposed to touch, and when he knows Rach is gonna slap his hand for that, he does a big blink in anticipation. lol (It's all pretty funny to watch, but I'm sure it'd be harder if I were the one doing the disciplining.)
He's also at the age where he's talking all the time, but saying very little that actually makes sense. :)
"Ziggabah-shigaah!" = ??
"Gaaaaa-Gaaaah!" = Oscar (the neighbor's dog)
"Dee! Dee! Dee!" = gimme a drink! (usually of Diet Coke from the straw)
"Doooh-dee!" = ??
"Eee-aww" = happiness :)
"Wussat" = What's that?
"Gee-ee!" = Get it! (yeah, commanding little thing)
He also imitates the dogs bark/cry and siren sounds.
My favorite is when he's over-excited and really trying to talk to you and says "ziggabah-ziggabah-ziggabah" really fast as he smiles and brings you something! Cuteness!!
Anyway, I feel the need to document all that since Rachael never blogs!! lol
In other news, I'm being attacked by Summer and I need Winter to come rescue me!!
Malori and I went to her friend Bethany's pool Wednesday night (at the Warwick West Apartments - wow, blast from the 3rd grade past!!)... we had a lot of fun hanging out! But when I got home, I noticed the bumps all up and down my arm from a mosquito or something biting me. Eww! And after my epic jog with Jace today, I had a similar welt-like bump on the left side of my neck. All that to say, I need to stick to being an "indoor girl!" :)
Other than the bug issues, which have now been solved by Benadryl, it's been a really great long weekend so far!! And tomorrow = sleeping in then seeing a movie in the reclining chairs at Penn Square... then Sunday = the first week of At the Movies, family lunch, driving back, then jogging with Talhia! Okay, that's really all for today!
