Words of Wisdom Wednesday ~ T-Swift Edition!

Yep, I'm going from Tozer to T-Swift... that happened.
And I love them both! :)

Seriously, I'm such a fan of Taylor... through every stage of her career. =)  I just find her heart and personality kind and fun and strong and relatable and endearing!!  She's quirky and silly and hopeful and imperfect and emotional and cheesy and fierce and generous and feminine and talented and real! Not to mention that every song she writes is fantastic -- not a "guilty pleasure," just a pleasure! lol  #swiftyforlife
“Silence speaks so much louder than screaming tantrums. Never give anyone an excuse to say that you're crazy... Guarding your heart and protecting your dignity are a little bit more important than clarifying the emotions of someone who's only texting you back three words. I've learned that from trying to figure out people who don't deserve to be figured out.”
Amen!  And we all learn as we grow up, and she's learned and changed a lot, but people rarely give her credit for it. I'm so thankful that people don't judge me based solely on who I was in 2007.  Or 2013, for that matter.  #shakeitoff

"As far as the need to rebel... I feel no need to burn down the house I built by hand. I can make additions to it; I can redecorate. But I built this. And I'm not going to sit there and say, 'Oh, I wish I hadn't had corkscrew-curly hair and worn cowboy boots and sundresses to awards shows when I was 17; I wish I hadn't gone through that fairy-tale phase where I just wanted to wear princess dresses to awards shows every single time.' Because I made those choices. I did that. It was part of me growing up. It wasn't some committee going, 'You know what Taylor needs to be this year?' And so with 1989, I feel like we gave the entire metaphorical house I built a complete renovation and it made me love the house even more—but still keeping the foundation of what I've always been."
This.  This is what makes her so different from Britney or Miley or the thousand other teen stars who went off the deep end.  She's fought for and made her own choices all along, and she genuinely likes who she has been every step of the way... which makes her a far better role model for young girls than the insecure morphers who cater to the crowd then eventually rebel to prove a point to themselves.

“All of a sudden we’re supposed to be unfazed and so cool that nothing really moves us to jump up and down like when we were five. I just reject that idea. I’m not bored at these cool things I get to do. I’m not bored by any of it, so why would I act like that?”
Yaaaaas. lol  I get so irritated by people judging her for dancing and having fun in the midst of uppity celebrities or for being excited about winning awards!  We don't all have jobs that we passionately enjoy, but she really does, and I'm glad for that! =)

“All you need to do to be my friend is like me.”
Hooray, me and T-Swift are friends! Lol  ;-) Just kidding, but I think that quote is so simple and true.
"I don’t want to be known as the Heartbreak Queen. I want to be known for having a beautiful life. And that doesn’t mean that everything has to be good all the time. There's beauty in the ups and downs."
Preach! lol  #truth

Okay, defending T-Swift time is over... but I do need more people to get on this page with me and think she's awesome. lol  Going to her concerts alone has been fun and all, and it's totally worth it, but it'd be even better with a fellow Swifty friend next time! ;-)

Song of the Week = The Lucky One
Happy Wednesday, gang!!
