Wednesday of this week, Dad celebrated 35 years working for State Farm - quite a milestone - he started 6 months after I was born! Today, he celebrated his 65th birthday!! =)
(^^Above = a collage Mom and I made for all the guys.)
His SF office staff made him a pancake breakfast, then J&K joined him at the office for cake and ice cream! =)
I drove down and got there around noon... I had to get a pic with two of my favorite August birthdays! ❤
Miss K is loving the jump rope today! :)
Dad was inspired by Chet Lee and decided to do a RiverSport Rafting trip for this milestone birthday! He was joined by my Uncle Alan and his three closest friends for the past 40+ years, Bill Lemieux, Bill Wallace, and Rick Minnich!! Rach took some video whilst Jill and I took pictures and J&K cheered them on!! =)
I got cracked up looking through the pics and seeing that Alan had kind of a rough time... he mentioned that when the guide asked if they wanted to go around again, he was secretly thinking "Noooo." lolol These pics made that make more sense... here, he's pretty much disappeared for a bit (seated in front next to Dad).
This = right after a series where you couldn't see him under water. LOL ...Mom and Dad and I laughed so hard!!
And finally, Bill seems to be accidentally hitting him in the face with his paddle here! Too funny!!
Anyway, I love that Dad has done the indoor skydiving and ziplining and now this in the last two years! Hooray for fun adventures!
Everyone went home to change, then we met back for dinner at Charlestons downtown! Dad was standing up to say the prayer right as I asked the waitress to take a pic of our table. ❤
I could listen to these guys tell stories all day! lol Bill & Bill are two of the funniest guys ever - just hilarious, and they have 40 years worth of entertaining stories to tell!! =)
Bill Lemieux's card + drawing = my favorite thing today! lolol
A little play time on the fort after dinner! =)
Then a fashion show with the new Polo shirts Mom bought them for school starting. lol
I'm loving Jace's hair fixed up like this. =)
Anyway, it's been a superfun day, and I'm thankful it all went so smoothly! (No boats turning over and no one falling out or breaking a finger!)
Happy 65th Birthday to my wonderful Dad!! ❤❤
