Happy Birthday to my sister's best friend and my friend, Kate!! Reading that tribute again this morning made me happy. =)

I got my hair done on Wednesday - sticking with blonde and getting a little blonder for now. Then I randomly cut bangs for myself this morning, and I'm pretty happy with them! =)
In other news, I'm doing really well lately with healthy eating and tracking my calories and working out regularly! I actually tried a Jiu Jitsu class on Wednesday (mostly bc I needed a J for my alphabet challenge, but it was pretty fun and empowering). lol As far as the day-to-day plan, I'm trying a free program called TheoFit by Paul Maxwell (a Christian writer and psychologist turned health enthusiast). You do 25 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, and you lift weights - just 4-5 exercises focusing in on a different muscle group every day. Then you stay in a certain calorie range while aiming for 80-100 grams of protein every day to keep your body burning fat instead of muscle! ...It's been very doable and I feel good on it so far, and I'll update on results down the road! =) I want to build strength and confidence, feel empowered, and be healthier without being extreme, and this program seems like a great fit for that!!
