"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near."
~Hebrews 10:23-25 ❤
Happy Monday again... even happier since it's a 3-day holiday weekend! =)
...I'm loving the above verses right now, so I decided to start off with that!
Thanks to Jon Foster's job having extra suite tickets, I got to attend the Lauren Daigle concert last Friday at BOK! It was awesome and anointed worship - I really love her music, and she sang all of my favorites (Once and for All, O Lord, Rescue, Your Wings, and Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus) and many more!!
Me, April, Kristin, and Jon |
There were two times where lyrics I've heard so many times spoke to me in a fresh way:
During "Trust in You," the line: "I want what You want, Lord, and nothing less!"
And during "You Say," the words: "When I don't belong, oh, You say I am Yours!"
I'm hoping to write a separate post with deeper thoughts on that soon.
For now, here's a quick photo update:
This pizza has become one of my go-to WW favorites! =) This, taco soup, turkey chili, strawberries with FF whipped cream, and pumpkin spice cake... all fantastic meals/desserts that feel like comfort food but are WW friendly!
*This pizza crust is equal parts Greek yogurt and self-rising flour, then a 0-point crockpot marinara sauce, then Trader Joe's mozzarella cheese + FF cheddar, then turkey pepperoni! #noregrets #sogood!
*The pumpkin spice cake = a spice cake mix + 15 oz can of pumpkin + 3 eggs + 1/2 cup applesauce. Yum!!
I also made some banana chocolate chip mini-muffins recently! Tasty, but not worth the points to me.
I used the "Morning briefing" part of my new Shortcuts app to type this in for Siri to read to me, then automatically play my worship playlist! lol It makes me happy every time!

Some old school pics of J&K five years ago! Cuteness!
A meme that made me laugh! This is so me! I almost always go back over it and replace at least one exclamation point with a period.
I asked Mom about this, and she said Jace made it for Dad and wanted to hang it on their wall. She offered him tape, but he insisted on hammering it in, so naturally, they got the biggest nail they could find to hold it up. lol What on earth!? #hotmess
The Woodlake Community Group is back in session after summer break (I missed the first two bc of the self-defense class). Being back there was fantastic, though! I'm genuinely exhausted and disheartened from trying to figure out where I belong and where God wants me to plant myself and grow in the overall church scene (and life in general). And although I'm certain Woodlake isn't the right church for me, this group is fun and light and caring and just what I needed this past week!
Huzzah for the AppleWatch tracking my activity and making me feel more determined and motivated to exercise, stand up and move more often, and burn some calories! ❤ One "perfect week" down, shooting for a "perfect month" now! (Where I hit all three goals every day.)
I do believe we've set a new early record this year as my house was fully decked out for Christmas on October 12th before the weather was cold enough to turn the heater on! lol Mom came on Friday, and we put on Christmas music and worked that afternoon/night and Saturday morning and got it all done (so much faster than last year)!! I just love it! ❤
"Receive the King and bring on in some JOY!"
*This song comes to mind when I think about Christmas joy. And yes, I know all the words, thanks to D.C. Talk's Yo-Ho-Ho 1990-era rapping Christmas cassette tape!! lol
My living room feels extra cozy and warm right now! ❤
This white tree is so simple and inexpensive, but so cute - no ornaments needed!
This part especially went faster this year. ❤
As the British would say, Happy Christmas! =)
I'm off to my WW meeting, but I'm planning to write more later today.
