Happy Saturday, friends! As usual, the weather was not nearly as crazy as they first predicted. Still, I did get to see some of the beautiful, huge snowflakes falling this morning, and that made me happy. It's a quiet day at home, and I'm thankful for some much-needed rest and peace. My brain sometimes has a way of needlessly over-complicating things that are actually quite simple. I had a very rough past couple days that I don't want to repeat, but I'm working with God to address certain issues in my own heart and making great progress, seeing things from a healthier perspective now. (Ahh, the power of sleep. lol) So I'm proud of that and thankful for growth! God is never done working in our lives, and He knows exactly what He's doing even when we get a little confused. ❤
Anyway, I haven't posted many pics so far this year, so I'll remedy that right now. =)
I'm enjoying the Peloton app workouts more than I would've expected (thanks, Wilsons). It's motivating to have great music and super-encouraging coaches to keep you going whilst doing any form of cardio or strength training, and there's a small-scale sense of community when it shows you all the other Peloton users doing the same workout at the same time as you! They also have meditations that help you relax and recenter, and I've enjoyed several of those too.
Anyway, here's me in my happy massage chair post-workout at Planet Fitness. lol (I went back on the first Monday this year, so of course it was Pizza Monday, a concept which always makes me laugh.) And that's Robin Arzon, one of my fav coaches, in a spin class to the Greatest Showman soundtrack!
And here's an awesomesauce pizookie trio I shared with Tiffany on Sunday, because life is about balance. lol (Salted caramel, cookies n' cream, and peanut butter. Yum!)
Late in December, I had a chance to go shopping with the Miss K and Rach after Kyndal's gymnastics lesson. It reminded me of all the times we went to the mall with Mom and JoBug as kids. Kyndal picked out matching initial necklaces for the two of us at Claire's, and that made me happy! =)
An encouraging verse:
Here's two best girlfranz on their new best girlfran beds that kinda match them. lol They look uncharacteristically solemn when their mouths are closed, but I'm sure they're happy and comfy and cozy! =)
In semi-sad news, the movie producers decided against using our courtroom for Martin Scorsese's new movie... but it will apparently be filmed in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, so I still have a crazy-slim chance to meet Leo, aka Jack Dawson! lol
That's all I've got for this happy "snow day."
Be kind to one another! =)
