"Let your roots grow down into Him,
and let your lives be built on Him.
Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught,
and you will overflow with thankfulness."
~Colossians 2:7
Today, I am thankful for:
1. Dad's recovery and getting to celebrate his 68th birthday with family and friends last week!! (Pics are from our dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse.)
4. Finally getting to watch The Friends Reunion with Sarah that day!! It was a little over the top in parts, but mostly fun to see them all together again and relive some iconic moments from the show! #PIVOT
5. Getting back into a consistent groove with Peloton this month!! It makes a big difference in my energy level and life outlook, along with my physical health! I hit 450 strength workouts yesterday, and I took this pic because my t-shirt choice made me happy during Robin's "Year of Yes" ride when she said, "Bookmark this ride for days when you need to be reminded that you got this!!" ❤
6. My Aunt Charlene, and getting to celebrate her birthday on Monday with Mom and Dad and the Myricks! I ran by Quail Springs on my way and got her Great American cookiecake slices in lieu of a card, and she said she's always happy to make that trade. lol
7. A fun Dallas road trip on Tuesday with JoBug, Triston, and Nate (his good friend and classmate). We went to the Go Ape Zipline in Plano, TX (video below)... then JB and I had a late lunch at Rosa's Cafe and then got In-N-Out Burger for the boys, then headed back. I was the group photographer as they did the ropes course and zipline, and I was pretty happy with my decision not to do it. lol Road trips are always fun to me, and it was nice to catch up with JoBug! (Also, kudos to her for being willing and able to do the ropes course. I'm super impressed!!)
*I'm also grateful to be off work this week, and deeply thankful for God's kindness and the peace His presence brings in the midst of a swirling storm of family drama. I'm obviously not at liberty to go into detail on that here, but it's been intense lately, and it's good for me to stop and pray and remember the "Be still and know that I am God" verse.
That's all I've got for today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead! I encourage you to have a cupcake or some other treat in honor of the Mini Miss K's birthday on Saturday! ;-)
