My precious niece, Miss Kyndal Faith, wrote. a. book. for. me!! Rach helped her laminate it and got this glittery pink binder for it, and we had a special book presentation at our family dinner on Saturday!
She asked what I'd like her book to be about, and I said Christmas! =)
Well, this settles it... I must write a book now. And dedicate it to Kyndal/the BEST niece in the world!! ❤ It makes me laugh that she's prouder of illustrating it than writing it!
It was a 33-page comic book with squares of colored-in handmade drawings + original dialogue and action on every page. She laughed about creating a talking Christmas tree named "Chris" and a talking rug named "Matt." lol And she made characters named Taylor Spears and Britney Swift, which was her favorite joke. lol There was a Christmas Eve party with lots of good food and fun guests, and the end is them getting ready to ring in the new year! Also, her spelling of "goofball" made me pretty happy!
She was in a book club with some CHA friends, and they decided to try to write books to make some money, so when she told me about this idea, she said very hesitantly, "The only thing is... it'll be 50 cents!" lol I doubled that and asked her if everyone in their book club had written one. She said the book club had collapsed, but she still wanted to do it, and I love that!!
She sat by me and read it to us over dinner, pausing to be sure we understood and laughed at the jokes, then passed it around for us to look at the drawings! She's clever and witty and creatively talented, and I love seeing her work at those things!
I just adore her precious little self!! ❤ May her creativity, confidence, and kindness continue to grow and shine!
May we have life, and have it to the full!
