Phoning It In (#13)

FaceTime screenshots with Mom and the kids... then a group call with JEM and Chet (and Tate)! #thankful

Miss K playing the ukulele with her friend Olivia, then Jace FaceTiming with Rory.  I'm glad they can all still connect on some level with their classmates!

While virtual hangouts are a lovely thing, I got to have a "socially distant hangout" with real live people this weekend, which was a much-appreciated gift!! =)

Chet came to help Steve and Sarah with yard work, and I joined them to watch, chat, and document things! lol #socialdistanceselfie

I learned a bit about bermuda grass vs. fescue grass - probably won't remember it.  I also said I thought a hand-sized snake Sarah found was cute, at which point Chet and Sarah said the apocalypse had definitely arrived. lol  This pic of Chet standing far away for the presentation makes me laugh!

Chet Lee sprinkling the seeds... I don't plan to do any gardening until I get to heaven, but I do love the metaphors that come along with it, and I'm excited to see pics when their grass starts growing!!

They pulled out some bushes in the front yard, an unexpectedly painful chore.  This = Chet showing me the huge thorns sticking out of this branch... ouch!

Their neighborhood had an ice cream truck pull through... yes, please!  #minisocialdistancefail #yayicecream

They also had a girl walk by with this adorable German Shepherd puppy, which made my day!

Face-to-face friendships + a chocolate ice cream break + a puppy = a pretty fantastic Sunday!!

Speaking of dogs, David sent me this pic of Sam-puffins and Bellsy hanging out yesterday. ❤ (Bellsy is laying on one ball and guarding the other.  She is still not a sharer, but look how cute she is with her little "come at me, bro" attitude! lol)

Fun fact:  On this day last year was Rick and Connie's wedding at Mom and Dad's!
