~Psalm 31:23-24
This verse was a good reminder for me this morning that our HOPE is IN HIM!! ❤
Today, I am thankful for:
1. My oldest nephew, Triston Michael, who is officially a teenager as of today!!! It's a joy and privilege to be his aunt, and I'm thankful we are close!
2. For thoughtful and encouraging prayer messages from Laura, Elizabeth, and Malori this morning... and for the 192+ FB comments praying for Dad... and for Pastor Sam calling to encourage him this morning! (Dad is having a stent put in right about NOW, so prayers appreciated that all would go well. Family members are not allowed in the hospital anymore, so prayers for peace would be good also.)
3. Making some healthy protein shakes to freeze yesterday. My fridge and freezer are as full as they've ever been, and so far, I've had fun cooking some new things and now trying to be more mindful and healthy in my choices!
4. Funny memes - aka the main reason I'm still on Facebook right now! lol
5. The comforting beauty we can find in God's creation! And the way this quarantine has inspired me and many others to get outdoors more often! =)
6. That Grandad's lengthy hospital stay, nursing home stay, and in-home care visits happened March - August of 2019 rather than 2020! I've honestly thought about that a lot - what an unrecognized gift it was that we were all able to visit and be together and be there with and for him and Babah through that time. My heart really goes out to everyone unable to visit their loved ones in a nursing home right now!
7. For all my wonderful friends... and for knowing that someday soon enough, group gatherings like this will return and we'll all appreciate hanging out even more than we did before!! ❤
Happy Thursday, gang! Hope you look for and appreciate the small joys in this season, and hope you have a good weekend ahead!! ❤
