Thankful Thursday!! (110)

Happy Thursday, friends!!

"Let them give thanks to the LORD for His faithful love and His wonderful works for all humanity. He satisfies those who are thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."
~Psalm 107:8-9

Today, I am thankful for:

1.  A lovely walk at Crescent Park yesterday.  I needed to kill time while they were painting, so I walked around for an hour then sat on the bench by the waterfall for another 45 minutes or so, and it was all fantastic... beautiful weather, sunshine, lots of water and the calming sounds of a waterfall, colorful birds chirping, cute ducks and geese with their babies, adorably clumsy puppies, couples walking together, families riding bikes, a guy fishing in the pond, a little girl trying to get close to the ducks, waving at other single walkers listening to music, listening to my "Fun" playlist and two of Robin's Peloton outdoor workouts to '90s music!  All that was followed by picking up a late lunch at McAlister's, which was also great.  I've felt some stress with the remodel process, but this was such a peaceful and refreshing morning, and I felt deeply thankful all around!

2.  Having a kitchen and being able to cook tonight... it'll probably be covered and a dusty mess most of next week, so this felt like a treat.  I also found a piece of cavatappi pasta in my rotini, and super-random stuff like that makes me happy! lol  No TV in the living room right now, but the Hamilton playlist is probably even better!!

3.  Speaking of Hamilton, I wanted to hang something with Hamilton lyrics in the guest bathroom... found this and was super excited, then quickly noticed the glaring misspelling right in the center and thought of Ross' Y-O-U-(apostrophe)-R-E vs. Y-O-U-R speech.  Ugh, so frustrating.  (Along with other misquoted lyrics on this - "I am not going to waste my shot?"  Nope.  What on earth!?  Whyyyy!??)  But now I'm feeling inspired to listen and write out all my own favorite lyrics (there are MANY) and create something similar to this that will feel more personal to me (and be full of correct quotes and spelling).  Yay for having a fun project!! #getexcited

4. Painting progress... it's slow and steady and there's a lot left to do, but I'm a fan of the new gray color and so excited/antsy to see it all done and get my stuff back on the walls and back to normal! lol
*Also thankful we protected the photo wall, which got hit hard with texture when he sprayed that to cover the crack repair!  That's probably my favorite wall in the house. ❤  In the normal setup, I can look over at the pics while riding my bike, and it makes me happy!

5.  Thankful for all my nurse friends and all the great work they do!!  ❤

6.  The XOXO classes and all the sassy encouragement from Cody.  So much fun, and so uplifting... especially during this season when I can't see friends as often as I'd like!  *I haven't missed a day of riding the bike since I got my account, and I'm hoping to keep that streak going as long as possible.

7.  God drawing people closer to Himself during this season where our misplaced sense of security/hope/joy/comfort and our normal routines have been drastically shaken.  Praying for more revelation and receptiveness toward Jesus and the gospel, and that we as Christians will be rooted in Him and recognize what is Rock under our feet and what is shifting sand.
"By this He means that He will sift out everything without solid foundations so that only unshakable things will be left. Since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us please God by serving Him with thankful hearts and with holy fear and awe." ~Hebrews 12:27-28
