Star Wars Day

Just getting back to my office after a random 4pm outdoor power walk, and Shauna's advice is already paying off...  I was looking around and listening and breathing it all in, thinking about all the little sensory details from that walk that I could write about tomorrow.  I've changed it up, and I'm now shooting for a past, present, and future glimpse at least 2x a week!  Writing a detailed past memory, present experience, and a visualization for some future goal/dream/hope... loving that project so far!!

Anyway, today is Star Wars Day, so here's one of my favorite Tate pics in honor of that...lol

Ahh, memories of my Optical Illusions Science Fair project!

Yes to all of this - courage can be big and vibrant or quiet and subtle... it all counts!

My friend, Laura, shared an article about how the church tends to mis-define abuse and Biblical respect.  I felt really disheartened by the wide scope of this problem at first, but my main takeaway is extreme gratitude for the good men in my life (as per usual) + extreme caution about the advice of the best-selling Love and Respect book, written by a man who grew up in a misogynistic home and is perpetuating some terrible and degrading ideas he picked up there as if they mirror the heart of God and His desire for us.  I'm so glad to know that for future reference.
