Thankful Thursday (184)

"I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord."
~Psalm 27:13-14

Today, I am thankful for:

1.  Necessary endings and new beginnings.  And the way God prepares us for both.

2.  Being DONE with my most challenging semester so far -- the only 14-week course with no breaks in my 2.5-year grad school program.  Only 28 weeks left now -- the summer Residency 3 Colorado trip with Michelle (YAY), then the fall semester will wrap up the program just before Christmas!!

3.  Tate... for being an awesome mini-BFF and artist and a wonderful big brother... this pic of him making Parker a birthday painting (of Rapunzel's tower) makes me happy, and so does the video of him being really kind to her when she was sad about her bowling loss.  Yay for protective strength!  And yay for his cute Player of the Week baseball medal pic!! #gopirates

4.  New opportunities & group hours... I'm going through the online training to help facilitate grief groups with Calm Waters in downtown OKC.  Every Monday night, they host free support groups for adults and children grieving various losses, and every Thursday, they host support groups for those going through or recovering after divorce, which is its own form of grief.  It's very well done, and for the next month, I will join their team 4 hours a week.  I have such a heart for this, and I feel confident that God will use this experience in meaningful ways!

5.  My happy new canvas - love the colorful spring vibes and the reminder of who I am in Christ!

6.  Happy 16th Birthday to Carter Lee today!!  He has transitioned to Epic Charter Schools this year, and he is loving that and staying busy with rodeos and farming and all kinds of outdoorsy activities that he loves.  I'm proud of the life he is building and thankful to be his aunt!

7.  Mel Robbins... her confidence is inspiring, and I'm grateful that she's really good at breaking things down and motivating hope and change (moving the starter domino to set your goals in motion).  I've signed up for her Launch coaching over the next six months, and I'm excited about that!!

That's all for today.  Happy Thursday!
