My new nephew, Jace Michael Parrish, was born on 2-2-2012 at 6:18 p.m. weighing 6.5 lbs, 18 1/2 inches long! He is precious and pure and innocent and adorable!!
Mom called on Thursday morning and said to "pack my bags" because they were inducing Rach! First thing I grabbed was my camera, and thank God for that! :) Next, I rushed to Merritt's Bakery for a "Happy '0' Birthday, Jace" cake!! =) The drive felt like it took forever, but I got there in plenty of time! Mom, Dad, me, and Aunt Nancy all went to Johnnies for lunch. We watched Remember the Titans and Liar, Liar to pass the time as we waited. Rach got an epidural before she even felt one contraction, so for the most part, we were all just hanging out in the room, and she even slept through several contractions... so strange. lol Around 5:30, she was dilated to a 7, and they had her turn on her side to try and speed things along. They predicted she would have the baby between 10:00 PM and midnight. Thirty minutes later, she was at a 10 and ready to push! Jace Michael arrived at 6:18, and I was the first person Josh called into the room, thanks to my handy camera. =) Jace was having some trouble breathing, so they had to give him oxygen and work with him for a bit, but overall, very healthy and perfect! So thankful that everything went smoothly. Yay, God!

This was awesome to me. They chose this page for verses 14-16, but we realized that verses 12 and 13 are about God ordering His angels to guard you so you "won't hurt your foot on a stone" and about crushing lions and serpents "under your feet!" Very cool!!
