First off, how cool is this!? It's a trending FB quiz to see what words you use most often. #wordsmatter Thinking back through certain losses and trials and my lovely bout with clinical depression, reading this honestly felt like a victory today. So here's to feeling happy again, and to celebrating strength, love, life, and hope in the Lord for many years to come! ;-) Too cheesy? lol Oh well.
I really do feel thankful for where I am right now. I fully understand that no season lasts forever and that hard times will come again unless Jesus comes back tomorrow, but life is really good at the moment, so I'm choosing to enjoy it as long as it lasts! I had my first weigh-in of the new year today... after my worst week with food and tracking (I was 75+ points over the line), I was pretty nervous that I might have gained, but somehow, I've now lost 26.4 pounds! I am down two sizes and have been able to buy some new clothes and fit into some old clothes - which feels great! ...I told Chettles and Sarah recently that I think my body must have just been sooo ready for me to make any sort of effort toward health and wholeness that it's doubly rewarding me, because I feel as though I'm only halfway trying so far. It just hasn't been nearly as hard as normal. But maybe that's the point that I've been missing until now -- that I don't have to go all in and be so hardcore that I burn out 12 days later -- it's much better to have balance and still enjoy desserts and restaurant meals, creating some new healthy habits a little along. It's been so much more fun this way, and getting such good results without killing myself to get them has surprised me more than it should. So far, so good! :)

Having said all that, this coming weekend will not be WW friendly, because I'll be eating my favorite foods with one of my favorite people in my favorite city... VEGAS, BABY!! #awesomesauce I'm really excited!
