The Wilson fam and the Moss fam (two of my favorites) at Moss Manor, Halloween 2019!
Aunt Lindsey and Tater-tot the Pilot!
His full costume included a cardboard airplane, but we took him out of the box for me to hold him. lol
Zooooom!!
Ellie Faye looking smiley and precious... whilst JEM looks upset about something behind her. lol
Fun getting to see the Moss fam twice in one week! =)
On my way to pick up the card for the Fultons at Walgreens, I ran over something metal and it immediately flattened my back driver-side tire. That was kinda sad, but I can definitely see God's protection in it because it happened as I was turning into a well lit parking lot near the restaurant where I was meeting Tiffany for dinner, and near FBC where Chet and fam were heading to the Fall Festival! After several calls to Dad and Chet and Tiffany, she came and picked me up, and we had dinner as planned!
Upper Crust was tasty and fun, and we got caught up on all of life, so yay for that!!
Then we went to Fellowship, where we parked near a door that was locked, then proceeded to walk all the way around the building because several more doors were locked on our way around. Evergreen does this too (lock all but one set of doors when they're hosting events that are supposed to welcome the community), and it's a pet peeve of mine with churches, but I won't go into a whole rant here. lol
Anyway, when we got in, Bill helped us find Chet and Karli, and it made me happy to see Tate getting all the love from both of his grandmothers! =)
Chet offered to come put on the spare tire himself... then asked whether I had Roadside Assistance coverage with State Farm. I do, so here he is calling them and getting a super clueless guy on the phone ("Tulsa, Oklahoma... I'm not finding that - can you spell that!?"). lol
We found a little library room where it was quieter, so that was nice! This = Chet still annoyed and on speakerphone with SF while signing the card for Steve and Sarah. Fun times. lol
On the shelf across from us, I was happy to see several books by Beth Moore, then Chet pointed to the shelf above that where there were many by John MacArthur. To which I said, "Lamesauce!" (I do have more serious thoughts on that whole mess, but I'll save them for a future day.)
I noticed they had a photobooth at some point, so I had Tiffany and Chet join me for a picture! (Karli had already taken Tate home because he wasn't feeling well).
Pop A Lock showed up within 15 minutes, and they were super fast putting on the ugly donut tire, so yay for that! We stood out in the cold weather a bit, and that combined with my cough and sore throat pretty much destroyed my voice by the end of the night.
Chettles was a good Samaritan and picked up the piece of metal I'd run over. What in the world is this!??
Someone commented that it might be a cowbell - and I can see that in the shape. Of course, that made me think of this SNL skit, and that made me happy!
After all that, I drove Chet home and thanked him for his dependable friendship and help!
...So the tire thing was kinda sad, but the warranty covered it and all is well now. Overall, it was a fun night getting to see lots of my favorite people! =)
