The Homecoming Princess

My one and only niece, the mini Miss K, was chosen to represent the Kindergarten class at CHA's Athletic Homecoming this year! ❤  How precious is she!?  All the sweetness and all the sass (not happy about how cold it was)! lol

Earlier that day was CHA's first Homecoming Parade.  (Something they need to improve on if they plan to continue it, but still cool that Kyndal got to be part of the first one.  My 2002-Homecoming was the first one held in CHA's new gym, and that made it more memorable.)  The Miss got to ride in the back of this bright orange pickup with Shepherd and two of the older kids! =)

She went with Rach to get her hair done by Natalie whilst Mom and I took the boys home.  Then they came over and it was time to start getting ready. =)

I mean..... so much cuteness!

(Sorry for the picture overload here, but most of my friends skip over all the family stuff anyway, and my family would never think it was too many pictures. lol)  This = a collage of getting ready pics... hair by Natalie, nails by Mamaw, makeup by Rach.  I find every step Kyndal takes to be adorable and photo-worthy, so I struggle to narrow these down. lol
This pic cracks me up... Kyndal's looking at him and wondering what's wrong. lol  At least they've started giving them a little pillow for the crown (unlike Jace's Homecoming last year - see below -  we were all worried he might accidentally break the crown).  They also decided to hold this year's ceremony before the game instead of during Halftime, and that was super helpful for photo lighting, so YAY!

Jace and friends + me and Jace + Mamaw and Jace + Jill being awesome and taking fantastic photos + Miss K with Bill & Jill!!

Rach took these in the Activity Room where all the attendants went before the game.  I love that the Miss is holding her own and looking confident in the center of all the girls! LOVE HER.  They brought them out to the 50-yard line on golf carts, so that was also really cute!

❤❤❤

Random fun fact:  She wore my earrings from the 2001 Junior-Senior Banquet!  (Although there's a bit of difference in the picture quality between then and now. lol)

My voice was almost totally gone and I had a cough/sinus infection that the windy cold air wasn't helping.  My tire had gone flat the night before (see Halloween post) and Discount Tire had to order a new one and couldn't get it in time, so Mom came to Sapulpa to pick me up that morning and then Dad drove me back after the game!  I'm super thankful my parents were willing to do that!  And factoring all of that craziness in, I have no regrets and I'm so glad I was able to be there!!  Worth it! ❤

We had to recreate this pic from J's Homecoming last year! lol

Mamaw and Grandpa with the mini Miss!

Kyndal with her Mom and Dad

Jayda (one of Carter's classmates) was super sweet with Kyndal and that made me happy!

Her teacher, Mrs. Garner (one of CHA's best!), came to see her!

She got to ride back with the "King and Queen," so that's fun. =)  Seeing her tiny little legs barely going over the golf cart seat is so cute to me - I can't even handle it! lol

There were a few times that night where she looked super grown up and confident, and I like that she's courageous and strong... but then it also made me really happy to see her running to hug her Mom when she got out of the golf cart.  She stayed close to her and held her hand when she wasn't being requested for various pictures, and she looked tiny and adorable and precious then! ❤
"May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
And may you stay forever young!"
❤❤❤
