Birthday Central, Part 1

February is full of birthday celebrations around here, beginning with Jace Michael on the 2nd!  He is now 12 years old, so next year will be a bigger party as he enters the teen years!!  He's celebrating with his school friends next week, but Friday night, we did a low-key family dinner at Pelican's! =)

Jace texted me some gift ideas for him, and he's holding two of them in this picture (the magnetic Rubik's cube and a toy gun he was mildly obsessed with).  Love him - he's a funny one!

A collage with several of our pics through the past year - (fam dinner, bball game, Christmas program, neighborhood walk, Easter brunch, and movie night)!  I'm thankful for the Jaceman and so happy to be his aunt and praying he has a great 13th year of life ahead!! ❤

Yay!!  (Nom-nom for us, David!)

Next up is Tate Haywood, who shares a birthday with Jace, six years later!  He had a pirate-themed brunch party this year... cutest pirate ever!

This cute pic was surprisingly easy to pull off as the kids were gathered around to watch Tate open his presents.  Tate quickly grabbed a gift bag to emphasize that it's his birthday, which I loved!  Then there's Parker E. in her glittery lil' princess dress, Ellie up front with the pirate hat and pretty smile, Harvey glaring down the kindhearted photographer (me), Lincoln ready to "help" open gifts, Anna looking so sweet with her presh curly hair, and the boy whose name I can't recall proudly holding up the inflatable pirate sword -- it all makes me happy!! ❤

Chet lighting the candles on Tate's Ludger's cake... the cake topper Karli made was super cute! =)

Parker excited about the Happy Birthday song. =)

Love him and love these pics!  ...I failed to find a gift I was confident about for him, so I asked if there was anything he hadn't gotten that he wanted, and he showed me his awesome art box and decided that a few more art supplies would be good... because "it's always good to have a backup!" lol  It makes me happy that he's so creative, and I promptly ordered him some fun art stuff on Amazon! =)

Hunting for buried treasure (gold coins and colorful jewels) in the kiddie pool... such a fun idea!

I yelled goodbye to Tate (upstairs playing in the bouncy house) -- he and Parker both yelled back, then they came over to the balcony to see me, so I got one last adorable pic on my way out! ❤

The pirate eyepatch doesn't work out so well with my glasses. lol  The donuts were cute, the mini quiche were delightful, and Karli found cute little skewers for the grapes!  Chet lit a few candles for Harvey Lane, who was upset that he didn't get to help blow out Tate's bday candles. lol  Ellie brought Jeffrey an eyepatch while he was hanging out with Michael and Finn, and he got right into character! =)

Saturday, February 3rd, was Bill and Blake's birthday!  *Mom wasn't feeling well during Jace's dinner, and it turns out she has COVID, so we didn't get to celebrate with Bill & Jill.  They've have been our closest family friends for many years now, and I'm thankful for loads of fun memories with them!  (Here they are at Rocky Mountain National Park).  They had to take a break from all their usual world-traveling fun last year as he battled with cancer + radiation and had surgery to remove a large tumor... but he's very much on the mend and cancer-free and feeling better now, so I'm hoping they have a much brighter year ahead!!

And HBD to Dr. O'Brien - I'm thankful for Blake's resilience and that he and Wendy have been such good connections for T-man!

I drove from the Wilson home (2 hours away) to the Whitakers' place (4 minutes from my house) for an afternoon bday party for the twins, who will be 7 years old tomorrow!!  #perfectnumber #getexcited

Kristin's friend, Amanda, gave the boys these Pokemon-themed blankets, and the cushy hat part = so much cuteness!  I had to laugh when I looked over and saw the boys sneaking some of the extra icing!!
P.S. Sam's cakes are excellent - yum!

Wesson, "Aunt Lindsey," and Nash! =)

Kristin made five balloon garlands with no template or helium tank, which is very impressive to me! ❤

Cousin pic - not sure where I'm looking, but still cute! lol

Their love of Pokemon is still going strong, much like Jace's love of Transformers! =)
Several more birthdays to come this month, including yours truly, but this catches me up for now! =)
