"For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work
and the love that you have shown for His name
by caring for other believers, as you still do.”
~Hebrews 6:10
Today, I am thankful for:
1. That we choose what we dwell on (and typically reap what we sow).
2. Hope. Seeing this post last week (describing a career I would LOVE at a place I already love) was a hopeful reminder for me that there will be jobs that are really well-suited for me, and God will direct me all along the way!
3. Once again, connecting with K-Faith makes the list... she was calling here to show me her new highlights and her succulent plant! ❤ Could not adore her more.
4. One of my favorite qualities in God (or in a man I would choose to marry) = protective strength. I want to feel loved and safe and sheltered. But I so appreciate this little meme reminding me that being overprotected can stunt our growth... and I'm thankful that God knows when to cover/protect me and when to allow hardship that strengthens my roots in Christ and helps me grow. An important thing to remember as a parent, as well. I ❤ metaphors. lol
5. Taking time to vent/discuss my frustrations, then to prepare well and pray, and feeling better/more competent about working with kids for now -- I even had Hannah come in and observe a session on Tuesday, which ended up being good and fun! =) (I felt anxious and inadequate and ill-prepared for this type of therapy before this week).
6. Peloton walks... this one is my current favorite - so many great P!nk songs!!
7. Dreamgirls... the 2006 movie we watched approximately 50x on our 2007 cruise. lol I watched it for the first time in years last weekend, and I've been listening to the soundtrack since. I've always connected deeply with music... Jennifer and Beyonce can SIIIING, and I so love the passion and the lyrics on all three of these songs!! With that last video, I think we can all agree Jennifer deserved that Oscar... *her Carpool Karaoke singing this with James is also worth watching! lol
So good!! Happy Thursday, friends!
❤
