3- Pet Peeves

I have a much easier time thinking of my quirks than my pet peeves, but I wrote about my quirky stuff last time, so I'm trying to think of pet peeves today...

  1. The squeeeeachy feel and/or sound of balloons and styrofoam to-go boxes. I know that's random, but it's verrrry cringy to me! Like what nails on a chalkboard is to lots of people.
  2. Christian movies that are not only cheesy and sappy, but water down the gospel, show unrealistic dramatic conversions, make the post-salvation life transformation appear to be instantaneous rather than a long process, make heaven appear vague and strange and undesirable, and try to cram waaaay too much into two hours. As a conservative Christian, it's irritating to me when we can't do better than this. #lettherebelight
  3. Miley Cyrus - the way she dresses, her overblown and desperate-for-attention personality, even the way her mouth moves when she talks. I ❤ Blake and Adam and Jennifer Hudson, but I must avoid The Voice as long as she's a coach. Just no.
  4. When people say, "I'm sorry if that upsets you" rather than "I'm sorry." Any apology where the person takes no actual responsibility for their actions and pretends you're overdramatic to be hurt by their behavior. Not good enough.
  5. When attorneys let their criminal clients stand RIGHT NEXT TO ME. I sit out in front of the Judge's bench, so I'm closer than I want to be already, but the more thoughtful attorneys will put themselves between me and their client. People tend to be well behaved in the courtroom, but still, when I'm seated inches away from an un-handcuffed man entering a plea for a violent crime, it is not my favorite thing.  I'm always alert and ready to Jason-Bourne-style attack them with my pen if anything should go down! lol

In other news, here's a couple recent pics... Google Photos made me this Halloween album. Before our Zio's dinner, Tiffany and I went to FBC to see the Wilsons, then to Anthem to see the Mosses and Elizabeth!  =) Trunk-or-Treating with Chettles was highly entertaining - lots of fun commentary or character voices to go with the kids' costumes!

My favorite quote of the night...
Chet to random girl coming for candy: "Red Robin!!"
Girl, looking annoyed: "Red Riding Hood."
Chet: "Oh, yeah - whatever, that's what I meant."
Me, laughing: "Red Robin is a restaurant."
Chet: "Oh, it's so much funnier now!"
Me:  "Reeeed Robin... YUM!!"

How cute is the Miss K!?  This also makes me excited for Christmas! ❤❤

Made my first pot roast yesterday - yummers!!

Okay, that's all. Happy Thursday!
