This Monday was Sarah Elizabeth's 33rd birthday, so I joined the Wilson fam, who brought them dinner and dessert that night! I'm such a fan of these group pics and the way kids bring so much cuteness into our lives... Tate's joy in this top pic makes me happy! lol
And him blowing the party horn thing here makes me happy too! (We repositioned so that Kate and Parker could both be seen here.) I also love that everyone right down to the 10-day old baby has a birthday hat on... she wanted to help celebrate Sarah's first birthday as her Mom! lol
These little ladies were born 10 weeks apart, so Parker Elizabeth is 10 weeks and 10 days old, and Katherine Claire is 10 days old here. Also, fun fact that I realized whilst getting their baby Bibles engraved at Mardel... their names are the same number of letters in reverse (Parker and Claire = 6, Katherine and Elizabeth = 9). And even though it wasn't intentionally done, it makes me happy that Sarah's daughter shares my middle name and Chet's daughter shares Sarah's middle name -- apparently my adopted daughter's middle name should be Lee to make that circle complete. lolol Finally, I love that Kate shares a birthday month with her Mom (July) and the actual date of her birthday (2nd) with her Dad (born 3 months earlier on April 2nd). These are the kinds of seemingly random things others usually don't notice, but they make me happy!
Glow stick time with Tate... we had to come back to the darker hallway to see it glowing!
As always, I'm super thankful for Sarah Elizabeth and Chet Lee and our many years of friendship! And I love that they've continued to prioritize friendship and include me in their children's lives as their families have grown and changed through the years!! ❤
I made the above collage for a FB birthday post for Sarah, then decided to go with the one below instead... this = screenshots from them Facetiming me after their first ultrasound appointment in early November 2020! =)
In tragic news, the precious mini Miss K hurt her ankle at the trampoline park last week... here she is leaving the doctor's office with her crutches and cast-like wrap - sadness! (Mom actually said she's almost back to normal now, but still, it's sad to see her in pain here. And sad she had to use crutches in the summer when none of her classmates could even see and admire them. lol)
I hosted a game night with Laura and Tara Shields last Friday... we did a bring your own dinner thing, and I made cookies and had ice cream there, and we played Clue and Crazy 7's and had a great talk! It had been a while since I played Clue, but that was fun! We got books to hide our guesses from each other, and mine was this book by Annie (my introduction to her, really) that I read during Mom's back surgery and hospital stay five summers ago.
Yay for Nestle's pull-apart cookies with M&Ms! lol
A funny meme that is very me! #oblivious
Get excited for the Olympics starting next Friday!! ❤ #teamUSA #SimoneBiles #GreatestOfAllTime
Happy Anniversary to Kate and Phil, who were married in Dallas on this day four summers ago!! We'll be seeing Holly and Kate and Megan again this weekend, so that's fun!
I think that's all I've got for today.
Happy Thursday, and have a lovely weekend ahead, friends!!
