Photo Friday

Happy Friday, blog-reading friends!!  Hope it's off to a lovely start for you

These are a few pics Mom took on an overcast swim day that turned into a very rainy swim day!  We've had a lot of rain here in Oklahoma lately, so this feels like a fun way to document that...

T&C were staying with friends on this day.  Like all siblings, there's a fair amount of sibling rivalry and petty arguments between my niece and nephews, but it always makes me happy to see them playing and having fun together!  ...And that top pic makes me smile because me and Rach used to fake-baptize each other pretty regularly when we'd go swimming, reciting the speech we heard weekly at FSBC:  "I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit... buried with Christ in baptism... (dunk) and raised to walk in newness of life!" (ta-daaa) lol

The Miss hamming it up reacting to the rain! lol

And since it's the 4th of July weekend ahead, here are a few Flashback Friday moments from Jill's stunning photos during our 2017 NYC and Niagara Falls trip... starting with the Statue of Liberty herself!

The boat where we all got soaked by the Falls...

Being up close to the Falls is one of the most powerful and awe-inspiring things I can remember.  I would love to go back someday!

The view from our hotel was pretty fantastic too.

That trip gave me a new appreciation for NYC, and I'm thankful for that!

The Freedom Tower

And a patriotic fireworks show over Niagara Falls... one of my favorite moments from that trip, and it feels appropriate for this weekend, as well!

As I'm writing this, Sarah Elizabeth is at the hospital in labor with her first child... prayers appreciated for all of them.  I'm super excited for her and Steve and ready to meet my honorary niece, baby Katherine Claire, sometime soon! ❤

That's all I have for today.  Hope you have a fabulous 4th of July weekend ahead!!
