Happy Tuesday, friends, and hooray for a short work week!
Blogger is on my nerves uploading all my photos in reverse order, but I'm just going with it since I don't want to bother selecting this many pictures again. So without further ado, here is my 4th of July weekend... in reverse! lol
Starting with a meme of Ron Swanson celebrating his freedom. LOL (That's thanks to Elizabeth).
Me and Heather repeated what we did last year, sitting with our feet in the pool and catching up on life during the fireworks show!
Tinker Air Force Base puts on a good show, and you can see it perfectly from Mom and Dad's backyard, so yay for that!!
Hilary and Kyndal Faith joined us at the pool this year, (and baby Amelia enjoyed her first fireworks show with her Dad and Grandma Charlene behind us).
The Miss K taking a selfie for us! =)
Amelia was super precious and happy most of the night! ❤ Babies are fun!
She had occasional moody moments, but they were pretty funny too!
The kids were all amused and loved playing with her!
A group pic of the adults: Charlene, Dad, Mom, Nancy, Gene, Georgia, and Alan -- this was our first big get-together in a while, and it was lovely to see everyone!!
Me and Jace Michael! Yes, he got his ears pierced (to be removed within a month when he goes back to school), and yes, he's the only one who thinks it's an awesome look on him. lol
Amelia was *not* too sure about Uncle Gene, which made us all laugh!
Hilary said this was her first time putting her in pigtails - I love that look on all little girls - freaking adorable!!
K, Rach, and Amelia
Amelia clapping along with the movie music during Gene's pre-dinner prayer! lol
Nash and Wesson having a snack... and Midnight Run on in the background! We watched part of that, Die Hard, Twins, and Spongebob throughout the night! lol
She let me hold her for quite a while... mostly because she was fascinated with my necklace! lol
❤❤❤
One of my last golf course walks, listening to the Peloton playlist & coaching on my earpiece! They're reopening it in a week or two, which I'm happy about, but I'll miss the peaceful scenic walks!
Tman and I went driving, and he drove through their neighborhood for the first time (we've just driven around in really big parking lots before). Yay for successfully driving on real roads!
The kids and Rach came to see my future house, and thanks to Heather's pic inspiring the idea, we brought markers for everyone to sign the wall! I've told them I'm not sure if I'll end up adopting a boy or girl, then Jace said, "So which one is gonna be your son's room!?" lol I reminded him it might be a girl, and he signed in that room (misspelled, but pretty cute) "Cousin Jace." =)
Miss K with a lovely message on my foundation!
Rach and Kyndal both signed this kitchen wall!
I wrote a verse (coming back for more of that soon) and Tman signed the pantry and the floor... we might've stayed longer if not for the blaring heat!!
All the house stuff was on Sunday afternoon. Before that, I took Kristin out for a Cheesecake Factory birthday brunch, which was fun times as always!! ❤
Saturday afternoon was Kate's 1st birthday party! The Fultons rented this bouncy house + water slide combo... it was fun to watch Nancy, Steve, and Sarah join the kids in sliding down it!
Before the waterslide fun, we got a pic of our group (Kate was playing with her cousins in the water).
A little rocking horse gift - cuteness!
These mirror the pictures I got with Tate on his first birthday, and all of them make me smile!!
Classic smash cake pic with the parents!
Sarah went all out with the fun balloon garland and allllll the food!!
My pink balance bike gift (bow by Mom). =)
Besties for the resties. lol
YUM - so much fantastic food!! The pineapple was on point, as was the strawberry cake and the lemon-berry trifle!
Strawberry lemonade - also yum! (The theme was Kate's "Berry" 1st Birthday!)
There were also tons of sandwiches and chips and pasta salad!
On the drive to Tulsa, I was listening to The West Wing Weekly podcast and made a mental note to remember this quote.
And now we're all the way back to Friday night - here's the Mini Miss K in her new swimsuit cover up for their upcoming beach trip!
Rach and Kyndal brightening up the Pistol Pete decal!
All in all, it was a pretty great weekend with both family and friends!! ❤
