I Am Not Alone

When the best of me is barely breathing,
When I'm not somebody I believe in,
Hold on to me.
When I miss the light the night has stolen,
When I'm slamming all the doors You've opened,
Hold on to me... hold on to me.

Hold on to me when it's too dark to see You,
When I am sure I have reached the end.
Hold on to me when I forget I need You.
When I let go, hold me again.

When I don't feel like I'm worth defending,
When I'm tired of all my pretending,
Hold on to me.
When I start to break in desperation
Underneath the weight of expectation,
Hold on to me... hold on to me!

I could rest here in Your arms forever,
'Cause I know nobody loves me better.
Hold on to me... hold on to me.
~Lauren Daigle, Hold on to Me

I love the emotion in that song - I've felt all of it - and today, I'm grateful for God's love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness with me... that He never let go or walked away when I was at my worst, and that He celebrates with me and sustains me in seasons of blessing and joy, as well.

"On the mountains, I will bow my life to the One who set me there.
In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the One who sees me there.
When I'm standing on the mountain, I didn't get there on my own.
When I'm walking through the valley, I know I am not alone!"

I'm grateful for worship walks, for new hope, and for the sincere encouragement and support of trustworthy friends.

You're not alone, friends.  God is with you and for you, and I love you and believe in you.  And I hope you're having a lovely, rest-and-recovery Sunday!!
