Thankful Thursday #186

"Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your steadfast love;
According to Your unlimited compassion, erase my transgressions.
Sincerity and truth are what You require;
Fill my mind with Your wisdom."
~Psalm 51:1,6

Today, I am thanking God for...

1.  The National Day of Prayer gatherings across the US, and specifically for this one right outside my courthouse! ❤  Judge Balkman prayed for our nation's judges, Sheriff Amason prayed for the law enforcement officers, a State Representative prayed for our political leaders, a teacher prayed for our teachers and students, etc.  Seeing this crowd praying together was encouraging to me (there were several seats in front of the people standing in the back).

2.  Breakfast and brunchy foods. =)  Mom, Dad, me, and T-man tried a new-to-us place last weekend and enjoyed it!

3.  Emotional intelligence and getting better at thinking on my feet and asking good questions as I work with clients.  This emotion wheel makes me happy.  Start from the inside and work your way out (the opposite of Molly's advice to Jack on the fancy silverware).  Today, I'm feeling grounded, inspired, and uncontrollable.

4.  Mel Robbins' Launch program... we're four days in, and I'm loving the community and coaching so far!

5.  The power of kindness, connection, and encouragement. ❤

6.  A little extra downtime to work on my Picaboo scrapbook whilst listening to fun movies at work... as evidenced by the pages below, I'm a tiny bit behind (Tate is now 6).  But I've completed 2019 and 2020, so only three years to go to be caught up on past years by the end of this summer! lol #goals  We take so many photos, but it becomes easier to narrow them down years later.

7.  Calm Waters... I worked with the Suicide Loss adults group on Monday, and the focus was on sharing memories - I loved hearing their favorite stories, seeing them connect with and support each other, and being able to debrief with other volunteers after the group.  And I love the way these groups make me think about Kingdom hope and what really matters most in life. ❤
*Also, I love this t-shirt.

"It is better to enter a house of mourning
than a house of feasting,
since death is the end of every man,
and the living should take this to heart."
~Ecclesiastes 7:2
