Today's tribute is to my newest little nephew, Jace Michael. Also known as "Mr. Bubby," at least to me. :) Triston and Carter call him "Bubba J," which is also precious!
This was the day after he was born (so Feb. 3rd),
and he wrapped his tiny little hand around my finger... love it!
This was the first pic of Jace with his mom and dad on his birthday!!
This was after his first bath... everyone was surprised to see he had so much hair. :)
This is his Zoolander impression. lol He sleeps with his lips pursed sometimes, which is hilarious, and apparently does it while he's awake every once in a while too.
Little Jace-lander... cuteness!
The first smile captured by Rach's cell camera... he must be dreaming about something fun! :)
I kinda love it that he can't quite hold his head up right yet in this picture: =)
He is generally a content baby and never cries for very long (at least from what I've seen). It'll be one or two little crying sounds, then right back to normal. About like the picture below. I love the pic on the far right where you can tell he's been crying, but he looks too worn out to bother crying anymore. lol
Jaceman is also an OKC Thunder fan! lol Perhaps that's why he's such a content/happy baby. ;-)
Finally, I will always love this picture of his little footprint on the day he was born... already standing on the Word of God. ;)
*The verses you can see here in Psalm 91 read:
"If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The Lord says, 'I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trust in My name. When they call on Me, I will answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation."
To me, that's such an AWESOME verse to pray over his little life. (And the part about trampling on lions and serpents is referring to defeating Satan, which is intense, and I love it!)
Then part of what you can read of Psalm 92 is verses thanking God (also very appropriate on the day he was born): "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim Your unfailing love in the morning, Your faithfulness in the evening... You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me! I sing for joy because of what You have done.
O Lord, what great works You do!"
