I just love Jennie!! She has an effervescent, friendly personality and she is radiant with JOY! She is kind and encouraging and goes out of her way to reach out to people that no one else is talking to, and she's humble and has no idea how awesome she is. =) She also works as a nurse and I bet she's perfect for that role!
Jennie is my "Marathon Maniac" friend!! (She joined that club this year after running 2 full marathons in a 3-week period, so the term fits.) The pic below is her and Josh before the OKC marathon, her 4th full marathon!
Look how happy she is, just running along like it's nothing. :) It was a 5k, but still, I wouldn't have looked so delighted. lol The below pic was actually a 5k in honor of one of her favorite patients, so that's awesome.
Something that cracks me up: When I was at her apartment watching Army Wives, she told me she had decided to start "eating clean" - meaning no processed foods at all. I asked how long she was planning to do that, and she said "Oh, like... probably forever." lol I love that she just made a decision to forever change her eating pattern and is not at all overwhelmed by that thought. :)
She has encouraged and motivated me with her love of running!! I don't exactly share that love yet :) but I did sign up for a marathon this year largely due to her encouragement/belief in me!
Jennie graduated yesterday (Sunday) from Duke University with her Masters of Science in Nursing!! Major CONGRATS to her for that! =)
She was one of the first people I told about going back to school, and her "Wow, I'm SO EXCITED for you! And I can totally see that - you'll be perfect for that!" reaction was just what I needed to hear!
I'm inspired by Jennie and very thankful for her friendship, joy, and encouragement!!
