______________

And now, a recap of ringing in the New Year!  Here's Tatertot playing a lovely song for us on his new harmonica. lol  (Also note The Office on in the background... it was the last day it was on Netflix, so we watched it for a bit and talked about our favorite episodes and quotes!)

Chet and Karli had chips and queso for us, then Mark and Rachel brought pepperoni pizza, and I brought Oreo balls (per Chet's request again - lol - they're becoming my specialty, and I'm finally getting faster at making them).  It was all tasty and fun!

My honorary nephew, Tate, showed me some of his Christmas gifts, including baby snowman, the balance bike, and his awesome new fire truck bed!!  So much cuteness!
It was nice to see baby Harvey, as well, who was super alert and peaceful all night!

Kids are always so cute and cuddly in their PJs! ❤

All the NYE stuff on TV was boring and strange, so we turned to the Barden Bellas and the Treblemakers for some entertainment! lol  It made me verrry happy that everyone there knew the songs and joined me in singing along off and on with the riff-off and poolside mashup and competition performance songs - fun!

We played Ticket to Ride (I was yellow and came in last or second to last, but it was fun) and it took quite a while... we were all there until 1am, and I had been so sure we would be gone before midnight, but we finished our game and the movie - YAY!  I was just planning to leave whenever the Shoemakers left, and I figured with an infant that would be around 9 or 10 at the latest.  But I'm glad it worked out this way... I've spent the last seven years ringing in the new year at the Wilson home, so it would've been a little sad to break that tradition.

Thanks to some random neighbor of theirs setting off fireworks a minute early, we tuned back into the TV with 22 seconds to spare in watching the ball drop for 2021!! lol

Bring. It. On!!

And bye, Felicia to 2020! ❤
