My First 30 Years in Pictures =)

~ Born February 17, 1984 ~
Me at 9 and 10 months... with my baby underbite showcasing my two tiny lower front teeth. :)

~ 1985 ~ Age 1 ~
Babah and Grandad have a poster-size version of the left picture at their house. lol  I love the Christmas pic on the right, and apparently, my toddler self LOVED those red shoes! :)

~ 1986 ~ 2 ~
I know we still have that LCM bib, and I'm hoping we still have the Minnie Mouse dress. :)

~ 1987 ~ 3 ~
3-year-old LCM, rocking the hair!! :)

~ 1988 ~ 4 ~
Rach and I looking ever-so stylish with the Dorothy Hamill cut, followed by perms with bangs. lol  I love that my hand is up showing off my hair in the left pic. :)

~ 1989 ~ 5 ~
Haaaappy Easter! ;)

~ 1990 ~ 6 ~
Well, hello, fluffy '90's bangs! ;)  I seriously loved my hair in that left picture - it was framed and hanging in my parents' house for years. lol  Also note the neon shirts with neon shoestring hairbows; matching Christmas sweaters; matchy Easter dresses; and cute cousin pic with me, Rach, and Blake. :)

~ 1991 ~ 7 ~
{*For me, '91 = 1st grade; '92 = 2nd grade; and so on.  Makes it very easy to remember!}
...More '90's bangs and curled long hair... I want my hair that long right now, actually!  And this is my Easter dress/ the dress I wore for my 1st grade talent show performance with Heather Tipton. :)

~ 1992 ~ 8 ~
I was equally excited about having pierced ears, glasses, awesome bangs, and a missing front tooth in this picture. lol  ...All cool in 2nd grade, thankfully!  And check out my epic shoulder bows! ;)

~ 1993 ~ 9 ~
Rocking the cold sore and extra-large glasses for my class picture day in 3rd grade.
Thankfully, Glamour Shots was there to bring out my inner pageant girl! lol  I remember being happy the pink rubberbands on my braces matched the pink feather boa. :)

~ 1994 ~ 10 ~
I know I really liked this shirt; I don't really know why.  I usually didn't like seeing my braces in pictures, so I sometimes smiled like this to hide them. lol

~ 1995 ~ 11 ~
5th grade - the year of sunflowers and sparkly Jesus necklaces. :)
And bring on the sequins in Glamour Shots, round 2! lol

~ 1996 ~ 12 ~
Umm, I heart America. lol  I'm looking super patriotic and daydreamy in this pic.  This was my 6th grade school year... Spelling Bee Champ - what, what!?

~ 1997 ~ 13 ~
Finally a teenager! :)  ...Enough with the braces already - Invisalign, where were you!?  My teeth were a mess and took quite a while to fix, obviously.  (But I'm thankful for it now!)

~ 1998 ~ 14 ~
My one homeschool year with Mom, which was awesome!
I felt very grown up with this shorter haircut, and we worked hard to make it look great for picture day. :)

~ 1999 ~ 15 ~
The braces finally come off, and my face decides to have a major breakout... awesome! lol  Also, note the big Brighton earrings - all the rage that year. :)
Right pic of Heather, Jenny, and I at Rach's class hayride (we all had siblings in her class). :)

~ 2000 ~ 16 ~
(Last year for my natural hair color!)
The basketball girls threw me a surprise Sweet 16 party that year! :)
Class pic = heart earrings from Julie Methvin, leather jacket (popular that year and so not my style), and I was still recovering from having Bells Palsy that summer. :(

Quotable Tuesday =)

I was really hoping for a snow day and being off work today, but no such luck.  It is sleeting and snowing, yes, but the courthouse is open and plea transcripts are continuing to add up.  Anyway, since I am not in much of a working mood, I decided to post a quick blog before I'm called into court again. =)

The "Top 10" quotes I've heard or read lately:

This was a friend's FB status this week, and I loved it.
"Love is seeing the darkness in another person and defying the impulse to jump ship."  Not because you love the darkness about them but because there is light there too and you want to help them overcome what is hurting them...

Mmm-hmmm.

Amen to this:

One of my favorite quotes, even though I haven't lived it out well:

"He sacrificed Himself so that you can reign in life (see Romans 5:17). After giving up His perfect life on your behalf, isn’t Jesus worthy to see His vision for you fulfilled?  ...Maybe giving up really does seem better for your own sake. But you should keep going for His."  ~John Bevere

Encouragement:
"Everything belongs to you,
and you belong to Christ,
and Christ belongs to God."
~1 Corinthians 3:22-23

Great lyrics:

Laura was looking at Divergent and began the question:  "So if you were to have to choose a faction..." and I interrupted and said "Amity!" lol  It is the peaceful, giggly, daydreaming faction that's full of pretty trees and nature, where everyone votes on everything and coming to agreement is more important than proving a point.  They give everyone anti-anxiety/ antidepressant bread to keep them happy and peaceful all the time. lol  Not the best way to keep peace, but I don't hate it.  And the "Examples" on this picture cracked me up.  Yay for becoming besties with T-Swift! ;)

My LIGHT quote for the day - a reminder to go to God first rather than Christian people when I am feeling dark!

Encouragement (from Allegiant):
God also mends us, obviously, but often uses others to help in the process.

Snow Day!! =)

It's been a good week overall - very productive at work and lazy at home.  I'm sad the snow has ruined my Super Bowl party plans, but it's a pretty winter wonderland, and Lauralai and Molly and Clara (the dogs she is sitting for) have come to join me here at the house, so we're all having a fun snow day together - watching Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep and Colin Firth sing their way through a surprisingly mockable movie! ;)

One pic of the boys (T, C, J, and their cousins) at lunch at Pelicans after T-man's baptism last Sunday:

Today is actually Jace's 2nd birthday!  They had his party yesterday, which turned out to be a really good call!!  Here's a plethora of cute pics from the party!! =)

How cute is Missy K in her "Adored by All" outfit!?

Blowing out a candle for the first time - with his hands held back for safety by his mom and dad. lol

The "Jace-face" garland! lol
(Ridiculously cute idea from Pinterest.)

Party Guests, etc.

It was a lot of fun! :)

And now, here is my 1 Second Everyday video (so far)... I learned about this app on January 3rd and decided to do it rather than the 365 Photography project.  I love it!!  It's just documenting 1 second of your life every day.  If you miss a day, you can use a photo from that day or add text.  Pretty cool!  I added some older videos from my phone to it too.  I'm already excited to see it at the end of the year! =)

Happy Groundhog Day/ Jace's Birthday/ Snow Day!! =)
