Memes & Vicarious Travel

Hello, and happy Wednesday!  Hope you're in the middle of a good week!

I'm very grateful to report that Mom is recovering well after a minor medical procedure to drain fluid from a cyst... and now she'll be starting radiation within the next month, but we still don't have an official date on that.

And now, a few memes for this week:

I like this artist (Nathan Pyle) - he's good with creative humor that makes you think.

Lol

"I know I will soon die" made me laugh here!

An older one that still makes me laugh!

It's funny how many kid memes feel applicable to me because of the niece and nephews. =)

Lol so crazy to me that my current 1700-sq ft home cost significantly more to build than 9121, our amazing 2-story, 4075-sq ft home with a huge backyard and pool (built in 1993).
So many potholes!

Lol

Yay for Jesus caring for and bringing in the outcast!!

(Not that there's anything wrong with fun hairstyles - they're not my strong suit, but these concepts are not mutually exclusive.)

And now, a few photos from Triston's trip to London... they had a great time, and London is definitely on my list of places to travel someday (London, Paris, Rome, Jerusalem, and possibly parts of Greece, Ireland, and Switzerland are currently on the list).

Having never heard of Paul McCartney, this Abbey Road experience was likely lost on them. =(  Titanic was my first experience truly connecting with part of history through a well-told story that made me understand and care more about it, but it doesn't have to be a masterpiece 3-hour movie... If I were planning a school trip for children or teenagers, I would prepare or find 2-3 minute videos with a brief history of the important spots and significant events that took place there... I think they'd be so much more engaged and eager to see new places with a little more context!

The British Museum where they filmed Night at the Museum 3 (that one, they might've been more familiar with).

My mind immediately flashed to 1997 news videos at these gates after Princess Diana's death, the ground covered in flowers and candles and signs with thousands of mourners outside the gates.

View from the London Eye (observation Ferris wheel similar to the High Roller in Vegas)

The Tower Bridge... fun fact: this is where Spider-Man fights Mysterio in the Far From Home movie!

Group pic inside the London Eye pod

They saw the former home and the gravestone of C.S. Lewis

Coach Ferguson and his wife, Amy, were two of their trip sponsors... sadly, his phone was stolen at a restaurant the day after he posted this photo.

"Big Ben" - aka the Elizabeth Tower, aka the Great Bell of the Great Clock at Westminster =)

Inside and outside Westminster Abbey (and a red phone booth that would've also made me happy)!

Tman took about 1/100th of the amount of photos I'd have taken, but I'm very glad to have a few photos! =)
And the only one I've received thus far from Jace and Kyndal's Spring Break trip is this pic of him trying on a Rolex watch! lol #livinthedream

That's all for today.  I'm so enjoying the sun being out later now!  Hope you have a delightful evening!
