18 - Clothes & Furniture

What piece of clothing or furniture are you grateful for?

Technically speaking, I'm grateful for all of my clothes and all the furniture in my home!  More specifically, I am grateful for this happy pink couch, aka "the cotton candy couch" to the Whitaker boys (it's cuteness over comfort on this one, but look how cute!) And I put it together it my very own self!

I'm starting and ending with furniture, and throwing clothing into the mix in the middle.  My new Oxford Comma Society sweatshirt makes me happy... "In defense and preservation of tradition, form, and clarity" -- It's a grammar-nerd thing, so I'm calling it my author shirt, and that makes me happy too!

All the pink cuteness... the Betsy Johnson "Graffiti Sweetie" purse above, the pink jeans below, the fun pink hat, and the sparkly pink headband!

My fun leopard sleeveless turtleneck shirt... it was my choice for October 3rd as I led my first counseling session bc I sometimes break out in hives if I feel really nervous and this is a good shirt to hide that! lol Plus it's a good mix of cute and fun and professional.

Speaking of, one of my favorite serious workday Jury Trial outfits is my navy blue suit and this happy navy floral shirt!

And one of my favorite comfy hangout items is the Friends hoodie - a 2020 Old Navy clearance purchase! =)

Finally, our treasure is in heaven, and I really don't get too attached to stuff, but my very favorite piece of furniture is this oversized chair (one I rarely use or sit on).  It was originally a light brown fabric, sitting in our 9121 living room for several years before we moved... it was with me through my entire 15 years at 522, then Mom and I talked about how great it would look in the fabric on her new couch at their new home... and before I moved to my new house, Mom had it recovered as an awesome gift for me!  So it represents at least 20 years worth of memories at 9121, 522, and 3000, but it looks vibrant and new, matching Mom's houndstooth fabric couch at 8905, so seeing it across my living room always makes me happy!
