Look Around the Room and Write About
Everything You See That You're Grateful For...
1. I'm currently back at work after a fun lunch catching up with Kristin Michelle at La Madeleine... strawberry spinach salad + quiche + potato soup + turtle cheesecake = YUM! lol (Grateful for all of the above.)
2. Since I'm here at work, I'm looking around my office starting with the view to my left. Right here and now, I am grateful for: My SF deskpad calendar from Dad, my "The joy of the Lord is my strength" tumbler from Rach, having a TV in my office for the very rare days when I'm bored and have nothing going, the cute little plant I got from Marla (a thank-you gift for covering her jury trial after work), and this photo reminder that I need to bring more Kleenex to work ;-) - gosh, I'm so over being sick!
And this happy oval-shaped mirror from Mom's old office, the history of which feels meaningful to me. =)
3. On the wall behind me, I'm thankful to have earned my CSR, RPR, Texas CSR, SNU diploma, and CCU honor society certificates - yay for the years of practice and work and major decisions represented there - past, present, and future! More so, I am thankful for my wood panel family photos and my names-of-Jesus sofa table from Mardel!
4. To my right (what you see when you first walk in) is this happy faux-flower arrangement Mom made me, plus friends and fam pictures and verses, along with my cute globe and pink mini-fridge. Huzzah. lol
Just above that desk is three windows that bring me extra sunshine and a view of Norman that makes me happy!
5. And directly in front of me is my computer where I've churned out many transcripts and blog posts, my office phone, my fun erasable pen, and my colorful pandemic painting. =)
6. In the doorway of my office is my pink-glitter-framed pic with the Tulsa friend group last April ❤, along with my Ted Lasso "Believe" mosaic photo (which I touch as I'm leaving the office), and my ivy plant on the Mary Engelbreit stool we made 20 years ago! Yay!
7. And just outside in the hallway are some amazing donuts from Gourmet Donuts (so good!) brought to our office at least every other week by attorney Irvin Box... so I'm thankful for that too!!
Yay for a great office atmosphere with a few more amenities than I had in Creek County. I'm thankful for an introverty space that's bright and super relaxing and quiet, filled with decor that feels relationally rich to me (I have that here and at home)! Yay for having some downtime to write this blog at work this afternoon. We've almost reached the end of November now... between school and work and counseling, these daily gratitude posts have been a real challenge, but one that I've enjoyed.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're having a good Wednesday so far!
